Graco SafeSeat Infant Car Seat

Hi there, Is anyone using this carseat? do you like it? I am concerned about it fitting in my backseat and having to move the passenger seat all the way up. I have a VW Passat. My daughter is 26 inches at 13 weeks so she no longer fits in her SnugRide. I should add that I would really like to keep her in an infant seat because I hate to disturb her naps which she likes to take in her car seat while we run errands or pick up her brother from school. Thanks!

Chicco KeyFit 30 vs Graco SafeSeat or SnugRide32

I am exhausted from researching travel systems! any input on these 2 systems would be appreciated! I am really having a tough time making a decision. They seem quite similar, although there is about a $70 price diff. (chicco more expensive). I like one of the KeyFit patterns better than the available Graco patterns, but what really makes up the price diff? Also, I can't find the specs on the Chicco as to how much the car seat & stroller weigh. Any other things to consider? Sorry, I know there's so much info. out there - I've waded through...

Convertible Car Seat for My 7.5 Month Old Daughter

Hi everyone, Our 7.5 month old dd hates traveling in her infant car seat (Graco SafeSeat). Whether it's driving just down the road or 30 minutes or 4 hours, she hates it. She hates getting buckled into her car seat also. We've tried bringing the car seat inside the house and then taking her out to the car and also just taking her to the car and buckling her in, either way, a cry-fest and arching her back to get out. Now we're thinking of getting a Britax convertible car seat for her. Either the Marathon or Roundabout, we haven't...

Car Seat Dilemma

I have a 9 and a half month old daughter who is almost too tall for her infant seat. One more inch and she will have outgrown it. Right now she weighs just uner 18 pounds so I'm looking at convertible seats so she can ride facing the rear until she's put on enough weight to face forward. In addition, I have a bad back (surgery in 05) and carrying her and the car seat together is very tough on my back. Here's the dilemma: sometimes she naps in her infant car seat while I grocery shop. She also tends to fall asleep on the way home from...

Rear Facing Convertible for Small Car?

My 18lb, 29inch daughter will be 13 months old on Saturday. We are aware of the recommendations to now keep children rear-facing as long as possible and plan to do so. The problem we are having is that we have a small Kia. Since she has outgrown the height limit of her Graco Snugride at 29 inches and our convertible is too large to fit behind the seat in the rear-facing position, does anyone have a good suggestion for a small/trim/less bulky convertible that will work rear-facing for a while? I'm hoping to find a new carseat versus having...
