Infant with Reflux

I have a almost 5 month old baby boy with reflux. He was born 13 weeks early. The doctor has him on previcid and it has not seemed to work. We have him on the Similic Advance formula. He does ok the first half of his feed, then the rest of his feed he will fight eating. Sometimes after he burps it gets better. He spits up after almost every feed. He is gaining weight. Babies with Acid Reflux?

How do you know if your baby has acid reflux or not? I am a new mom and my daugher is two and a half months old and she is constantly spitting up. Its not coming out her nose or anything like that but she usually spits up a lot. She seems to be growing fine so I don't know if some babies just spit up a lot or if their is a problem.

Trouble Burping 4 Month Old

I nurse my son to sleep and have started having the toughest time burping him. I try to burp him before he falls asleep, but if I take him off the breast he gets riled up and wants right back on. I have tired burping him over my shoulder and sitting in my lap. Both either wake him and we have to start all over or he just doesn't burp. I have put him in the crib and he will burp right away and wake up and cry. Any advice on burping a sleeping baby?

Tips for Constipated Infant?

Hi Mamas, My 6 week old is gassy and constipated. I have tried everything the pediatrician has asked me to do. Today they tell me to "just keep doing what you are doing" which is not working. At their suggestion, I have been putting corn syrup in a bottle 1X/day and used rectal thermometer w/ petroleum jelly, warm washcloth on belly too. He is exclusively breastfed, eats well and is gaining weight. He has not had a BM since Tuesday and this has been going on for three weeks. Playtex Drop Ins

Anyone out there use playtex drop ins? How do you feel about them? I am considering trying them for baby #2 thinking that it will be less cleaning of bottles (hubby is not much help!). I will likely use a few different brands of bottles (like dr browns and avent in past.) If you have used them, can you mix the formula and water in the pouch itself or do you have to premix the formula then put it in the pouch? Just curious, thanks!

Suddenly Spitting Up
