Eggs Cause Severe Diaper Rash? If Not, Then What?

Can eating an egg(s) cause sever diaper rash in a baby 1 to 2 years old? I am talking about a rash that won't go away with diaper cream and anti-biotics, and a daily bath. It's red, raised a bit, circular looking spots on one side of his butt and near rectum. The poop is really irritating his skin when it comes out. I know he had eggs that seemed to spike the severity of the rash, but I'm guessing. He eats so many different things each day. Maybe it's not eggs. Anyone heard of eggs doing this? What could he have? Some sort of...

Severe Diaper Rash - 18 Month Old Boy

My son has a severe diaper rash. He is 18 months old. It seems to get worse every day for over a week now. His skin is bleeding in several places. I have put diaper rash ointment (Bourdaux's) on at every changing since this started. I change his diaper (Huggies) frequently - almost once an hour and immediately when dirty. Any ideas what is causing this or what I can do to get rid of it?

Bad Diaper Rash

My daughter has had a pretty bad case of an ear infection. Well the medication she is on is causing diarrhea, which lead to a diaper rash/yeast infection. My question is.... what possibly do you think would help ease the pain.. I am using a fungal cream for the yeast infection. I have given her tylenol for pain.. I have soaked her in plain water.. What could I possibly use in the bath water to help her with this.. She is in pain every time she has a bowel movement or urinates. The dr. just tells me to use the fungal cream.. Thank you

Diaper Rash--It's Been Three Months

Just wondering if anyone has had an experience like this with their baby. My daughter is 10 months old, and she's had a daiper rash since about 7 months old. It does not seem to bother her. It used to be worse, and when it started, it seemed to be caused by her poop. Her skin seemed to burn from the poop, blister, and then peel. It would clear up if she didn't poop for a couple of days, but it always came back when she pooped. Now it is only on her inner thighs OUTSIDE the diaper area. She's been to the ped three times, and they...

Severe Diaper Rash

Hi everyone. I have a problem. My son, who is 2 1/2 came home with this god aweful diaper rash with blisters from daycare. All weekend we tried everything, neosporin, triple paste, A&D and nothing helped because he is holding his bowel movements and screaming in pain because a little will come out at a time from him trying to hold it. I took him to an after hours clinic last night and they gave me burn cream for it. But the problem is, it is not having a chance to heal because he won't "poop" He just squeezes his cheeks together and...

11 Month Old with Thrush and Diaper Rash

I went to the pediatrician on Friday after my daughter had a stubborn diaper rash for 5 days that I suspected was yeast-related. Before I took her to the doctor, we had been trying Lotrimin AF on the rash which helped some but not enough. The doctor gave us oral nystatin for thrush in her mouth (I hadn't noticed the small white patches on the inside of her cheeks.) He also gave us nystatin ointment for her diaper rash. It isn't helping at all. Her butt looks worse, she doesn't want to eat solid food and gags a lot when I give her foods she...
