Weaning off Bedtime Bottle

Hello, We have a 1 year old little girl. She is off the bottle except at night. She gets a bottle during our bedtime routine. Lately, it's turned into a game for her. She plays with the nipple, drinks, cries, drinks again, plays with the cap, hits me, fingers in my nose, etc. She is tired. We put her in her crib (wide awake), she rolls to her side and goes to sleep all on her. It's getting more difficult. Our ped. said it's time to take that last bottle away. Can you guys please give me your tips on how to wean off the bottle?

5 Month Old Wont Take a bottle...only Breast

I have a beautiful 5 month old baby girl...my first...who really will only eat from the breast and is still getting up 3-4 times a night. I am exhausted and feeling frustrated. Is it too late to get her to take the bottle? She just plays with the nipple and after 30 minutes has eaten less than a ounce. We tried spoon feeding her with rice cereal and that went ok although it doesn't seem to make a difference in her night wakings. I also worry that she is not getting enough from nursing. Any thoughts or advice?? Thanks, A.

Underweight 13 Month Old, I Did Have IUGR During Pregnancy.

I have a beautiful 13 month old baby girl. The only concern that I have is that she is very small in size for her age. She's only 13 and a half pounds. Height wise she's doing great, but it just makes her look even that much thinner. I was diagnosed with IUGR (interuterine growth restriction) during my pregnancy and was put on bed rest and saw a high risk doctor the last two months. She was born full term (38 wks buy trying to induce me although I still ended up with a c-section) at 4 lbs 12 oz. She's always been breastfed. She does...

7 Month Old Refuses to Eat from Bottle

I have a 7 month old daughter who will not eat from a bottle. I have been breastfeeding. Up until about 2 months ago, she would occasionally eat a bottle of pumped milk fed to her by her dad or grandma. Now, she absolutely refuses. I was gone all day yesterday, and she went without milk for 12 hours because she wouldn't eat from the bottle. We did start feeding her some solids in the past couple months, but I'm not sure that has anything to do with it. It seems like she forgot how to eat from the bottle. She will kind of chew the...

Sleep Problems for Still Nursing 15 Mo Old/ready to Wean, Tired Mom

I am working on trying to get my 15 month old son to sleep thru the night w/o my help. He doesn't have trouble going to sleep in his crib initially at night. The problem is in the middle of the night. He tends to wake around midnight and won't go back to sleep until he has nursed, then he continues to wake up every hour and a half or two hours after I put him down again unless I bring him to bed with me. The problem with him in my bed is neither of us sleep all that well even tho he prefers it. My goal is to wean him and have him sleep in...

Whiny 13 Month Old

Does any one have any experience with a whiny 13 month old? All of a sudden, my happy-go-lucky baby turned into a whiny toddler. If we tell him he can't throw his cup on the floor, he cries. If we tell him not to give his food to the dog, he cries. If we tell him he can't go outside, he cries. And I mean, really cries, tears and everything. Then he gets mad and doesn't want anything. We try to let him have control over things such as feeding himself, trying to comb his own hair, choosing which books he wants us to read to him, etc. We do...
