Recently I noticed a change in my 3 month old's hairline...it appears to be receeding. As I was changing her sheets this morning I noticed a few strands in her bed. Are there any suggestions on how we can win this battle? Is there such a thing as higher rated thread count crib sheets?
I think alot of babies lose their hair at this age. I know my son was born with a full head of hair and was pretty much bald by the time he was 4 months. It all grew back beautifully. You can call your pediatrician if your worried, but I'm pretty sure it's perfectly normal.
The sheets might not have anything to do with it. Lots of babies lose their hair in the first six months and then grow it back in. My six week old was born with a beautiful head of hair and then at about 2 weeks lost only the hair in the front - she looked a lot like my balding dad :-). But now it's starting to grow in again - lighter than before. So don't panic, it'll always come back! Good luck! :-)
It might not be the crib sheet. Sometimes babies lose their 'baby' hair. Our kid was born with a head full of dark hair. At 6 months, he was mostly peach fuzz. While the hair grew in, he looked like a grandpa with a comb-over. Now at 19 months he has soft, sandy blond hair.
The receding hairline sounds normal to me!

I can't think of what it is called, but they have sheets and hats that protect their hair. It has worked so far. Good Luck!!!
It's normal for children that age to lose hair. That was about the time my daughter lost ALL of her hair and it came back gradually. I would not worry about it. I highly doubt it is the sheets. Melissa
