I'm 35 weeks pregnant (3rd pregnancy) and I'm having weird pains (nothing unbearable) in my belly button...thats pushed out of course. On the right side(but still within the "center" of it) it kinda has a bulge and its a little hard. I was pushing on it lightly and increased pressure slightly and it felt like something "popped" inside, and the hard spot/bulge temporarily went away ....well became just squishie and not firm/hard.. It came back, and i did this again and that popping feeling hurts... and its the very strangest feeling.. Anyway...I never had this with my other 2 pregnancies, so I'm confused if this is normal ?
What is this ?

** I do have a Doctor Appt on Tuesday and definitely plan to ask him also, i'm just asking here to get an idea of what it could be, experiences, etc**
Thanks!

What can I do next?

possible fibroid tumor, they're basically harmless. I had some on the top of the uterus and wondered what "part" of the baby kept kicking me.

It's probably a hernia...
of course, check with your doctor (I forget who you see!)
see you soon!

I also had a hernia that was "hidden" while I was pregnant. I had laproscopic surgery to repair it.

Please!

Ask your doctor today. We are not the authority, and he/she is not either until there is a consultation.

As I recall my pregnancies, you should now be going to appointments every week or two. If an appointment is not scheduled in a day or 2, call and make one. Anything that bothers you in any way should be checked.
Please!!!

it sounds exactly like an umbilical hernia to me. i had one with my first pregnancy. mine popped really early on, i remember it was the first day that i couldnt close my pants. anyway, it didnt affect the pregnancy at all, though it was a weird feeling. i had it repaired after having the baby, it was laproscopic, not really a big deal at all as surgeries go. oh, and i had 2 more (even bigger) babies after that with no problems at all. see what the doc says. good luck :)

had the same thing it was a varicosity or swollen vein. my belly button looks pretty much the same as prior to pregnancy 9 months later but still is mildly tender to touch at times and feels mushy

I don't know what it is, but I had great random pains if certain areas of my stomach were touched near my button. People used to do the touchy thing and I was so protective of my belly because the wrong touch could send me through the roof. Anyway, I told the doctor and he didn't do anything to investigate it, however he did find the spot.

That sounds like an umbilical hernia. You need to get that checked out.
