Hi L., there is a great list of fireworks, parades etc. on metroplexbaby.com. It is broken down by area. Good luck! M.
Please share any and all places and dates/times for Firework Shows that will be going on in celebration of July 4th. Since it hits in the middle of the week, I wondered if many events will be scheduled for this weekend or if there are still some for July 4th eve? I live in Valley Ranch, but willing to drive around and hit many (if on different evenings) for the best in Fireworks and Family Fun. Thanks for everyone's help.

Hi L.,
Since you live in Valley Ranch, you might like to know about the City of Irving's annual Fourth of July celebration. There's a parade in historic downtown Irving at 9:00 AM, and a hometown celebration in Heritage Park, following the parade at 10:30 AM.
Here's a link for the parade: http://www.ci.irving.tx.us/calendar/qsevent.asp?aEventID=...
Then in the evening, there's a patriotic pops concert at Williams Square (where the Mustang bronzes are on O'Connor Blvd. in Las Colinas) with a huge fireworks display right after dark. I've attended both events for many years and really enjoy them.
Here's a link for the concert:

Addison has it's annual Kaboom Town the night before (7/3) and it's always fun, too.
Enjoy your holiday!

I hear Kaboom Town in Addison is awesome and I've always wanted to go. They do their celebration on July 3rd and it is a free event.

Las Colinas does a show on the 4th of July as well with the Irving Symphony at Williams Square where the horses are. I went to this years ago and honestly, it was kind of boring to me. Not much activity for little kids either.

And here's a link that has all kinds of 4th of July events around the DFW area.

Good luck and have fun! I think we'll try Kaboom Town this year since it's on the 3rd of July and we can stay up later with our 2 year old so she can enjoy some fireworks and fun too.
