A Gift for a 25 Yr Old Bride

Hi Moms,
I am at a lost. I don't know what to buy. I am invited to a friend's wedding and of course the bridal shower. I have not been to a wedding in so long I don't know what is in now. If anyone resently got married and loved a gift from a freind (at your bridal shower) what was that gift? She does not have a registry so it is hard. I would like a recommendation on where to look for both the wedding gift and the bridal gift.

What can I do next?

Hi,
You sound a lot like me! (older (well age is just a number, right?? and married for 20 yrs Weds!)
We went to my nephew's wedding this summer on the Jersey shore. Fortunately, they were registered (shame on your friends! Whatsup with that?? We all need direction or you'll end up with a blue table cloth when you hate blue! I ended up with one at my wedding despite the fact that I was registered at several places.)
Anyways, I don't know about you, but I think it's safe to say that we all needed money (alot!!) starting out. We gave my nephew something on his registry for the bridal shower but gave him a check for the wedding. I personally think one gift to remember you by is enough...give them the cash for the rest! Now, what gift??? There, I can't help you as everybody has such different tastes. What I would suggest however is pin them down (or someone close to them) and find out their favorite store. Get them a gift card from there and tell them to buy something at that store from you.
They also have so many beautiful platters, chip /dip at Macy's but again, are they fancy people or beer and chips out of the bag types? Well good luck! You're the first letter I could relate to as mt kids are not babies!

Hello G. ,

I don't know how close you are to this friend , but if you are at lost what to purchase I would get her a gift Certificate ( Macys or BedBAth&Beyond). When you purchase a present for a Bridal Shower you don't have to necessarly buy another present ( unless you are very close to the couple)For wedding $$$$ is always the best bet so they can enjoy it @ their Honeymoon . If you want to buy a present a personalize present would be nice . EX Photo Album , Personalize Recipe Box . Whatever you decide to get her I'm sure she would appreciate it . It is the thought that counts . Well it does for me . Good Luck !!!

G.,

I would suggest something like an elegant picture frame or photo album. Lingerie and things like that are over done and over rated.

Hope this helps.
