The silly hair doll is being discountinued. All of the stores are out of them. I can only find them for close to $70! I just bought my daughter one of the other dolls. She really wanted one and I hope she likes it

We got a regular one last year - it's pretty durable, and has been tossed all over the place, though a disclaimer: it does get played with, but not as extensively as some of our other baby dolls. Because they're not soft, so you can't cuddle them. Their arms and legs are rigid (but move at the hips and shoulders), so you can't pose them. Cute, but not a favorite.

Mydaughter received it last year and never really plays with it. It is a hard and heavy doll for a childs toy.

my DD is older and she loves hers. I don't know if it's the right doll at age 5 though, it seems more geared towards the age when dolls aren't cool anymore but girls still want to play with them.

We have one of the regular dolls. It's cute but she doesn't really play with it at all.
Suggestion: My daughter got a doodle bear for her birthday and LOVES it! It was her favorite gift.

well some kids really like the silly hair kinds and some are freaked out by the hair. my 7 year olds really love the dolls, the regular dolls. this week shop rite has all toys 50 per cent off so i bought marina anchors and berry and jams lalaloopsies for 14 each. watch target.com too. amazon has the silly hair ones for 34 each. i didn't get those. to answer your question. i love these dolls because they looks like dolls, not some moxie, brats, stuff that seem so gown up. my kids get really excited when they see the lalaloopsies at the store so i am hoping they will like theirs which they will get for christmas.

my daughter is 4 and has 5 little lalaloopsy dolls with the carousel (sp?) and they arent broken yet. They get played with here and there but she plays with her polly pockets more. She wants the crazy hair doll but she can save up her xmas and bday money and then decide if she wants it bad enough. I only say that because she is getting an american girl doll for her bday and I dont think it will get played with.
