Welcome "new" stay home mom! I've been home for 11 years now with 4 kids and I haven't lost my mind yet so don't worry..Do you live in NYC? I did for almost 3 years but now we are up in Riverdale. I go to the city everyday for the kids schools...and I am a part-time freelance nanny if that makes any sense..but it works..There's alot to do in the city..There's the childrens museum(MOMA)..the park..strolling around window shopping..or shopping!;)In the library they have special magazines that are free. It tells you all the local activities that are going on in your neighborhood..So don't fret! Enjoy your baby and know that you just made the best and most important decision in your life! Staying home with your baby!

I am a part time stay at home mom, I work at home but have a seperate office, I am off Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday plus weekends. I also home school my two children Daughter-13 Son-10. I am always interested in meeting new people. Where are you from?
Congratulations on the new baby and on deciding to stay home with him. It really is wonderful that you can do that for him. I did the same for my son, now three. I understand what you mean about lacking adult conversation. I'm on here myself looking for other moms to talk to and do things with. If you live in NYC, please let me know. I live in Greenpoint Brooklyn. I don't drive, but I'm well experienced with the subway system and my son loves to ride the "choo-choo trains that go in the ground".
