Adult Teeth

At what age did your kids get their first adult molars? I think they are adult molars, she got her one year molars at 12 months and the two year at around 20 months. Now my daughter is 5 and has 4 more molars coming in. Her jaw is so small and with six other teeth coming in I am worried that her teeth will be so crooked.

What can I do next?

Sounds like you need to make an appointment with a pediatric dentist. One that is a specialist in baby teeth. Call your insurance provider and they can tell you which ones are on your plan.

My grandkids get a medical card through the state and their pediatric dentist is totally awesome.

These are her 6 year molars. I am a dental hygienist and we see a wide age range on when these erupt. She will have room for these. It is very common for crowding to happen but as the jaw expands they may all fall into place. It is also very common for young kids to have braces now a days but we usually do not refer to the orthodontist until age 8. Hope this helps!

The permanent 6 yr molars come around 5-6. The others are baby teeth.
