N.O.
Hi J.,
It's so funny to hear I'm not the only one who had a bad experience with the Nurses there. There was a nurse in peticular (Sara, Arab lady) who I had such a bad experience with that I demanded a new nurse and I an not a person to complain about anyone!
She was the only one I really had any problems with and the rest seemed to be very good. I've delivered 2 babies there and the first was a vaginal almost 6 years ago and the 2nd was c-section which is when I had the bad nurse.
I just remembered when my sister delivered there she had the same problems and I beleive it was one of the arab nurses as well. Not trying to say they are ruder people, that's just how it was with both of our experiences.
I started to think that's how nurses just are at Hospitals but I know there are some great ones there and just like another Mom said, Do NOT be afraid to stand up for yourself.
Bring lots of snacks and have your husband bring some of his favorites because the Cafeteria is in another Hospital building next to Margot Perot. However, Margot Perot has a small deli section but there's not alot to choose from and it can be pretty pricey!
Another thing to add, parking is horrible there! My c-section was scheduled at 9 AM and I didn't get in there until 9:30 almost an hour after looking for a parking spot! It seems to be alot busier in the morning's though.
Do you know who your delivering doctor will be there?
Mine were Dr Clark Griffith and Natalie Light.
Both of them are very sweet and caring doctors.
Good luck to you and Congratulations on your new baby girl!
