Hi,my little one is about to crawl and I need to buy a vacuum that also has hot steamer power. Do y know of any? I work full-time so I need something pratical...the little time I have with him, I want to enjoy mostly playing not cleaning. Thank you all for your advice.

What can I do next?

I have the Shark Steam mop too, and I love it! I used this even when my son was crawling around the floor - he's walking (running) now, and he just follows me around when I use it. So much easier than anything I've used. I have tile in about 80% of my house and laminate in the other 20%.

I have the Bissell FloorMate and I love it. My in-laws borrowed it and bought their own and my mom did too! It vacumes, then when you hit the button it sprays the cleaner and scrubbs the floor (not hard, gentle for wood floors)and then when you hit the button it sucks up the dirty water!! That is the best part. When you use others that don't take up the water it leaves dirty water on your floor and the floor is wet for a while creating a slipping hazard for little ones! When we take up the dirty water and see what comes up it is amazing. I highly recommend it and it isn't very expensive. I think I bought mine at Target for @ $65-100.
Worth it!

Go to Oreck, which is top of the line, then research the others. Forget Target and cheap brands. They don't work, and will only waste your time and money. Perhaps Oreck has a scratch and dent sale, just ask. Anywhere you go (like Home Depot, Best Buy, etc) to check out the quality machines, ask for the scratch and dent sales...you'll get a quality machine for less and it's going to last a long time.

I have the shark steam mop and it works great. Its only a steamer/floor cleaner, not a vacuum. So, I sweep or vacuum first, then mop. But it only takes me less then 5 minutes to do my kitchen area and the steam dries very quickly. So you don't have to deal with wet floors or chemicals.

I know people who have used the swifter wet jet, (I think that is what it is called). You can also use the shark steam mop

I also have the Shark Steam mop and I love it for hard floors. About 60% of my flooring is ceramic tile, and the Shark Steam mop does a great job. i love it because the steam cleans and sanitizes the tile without chemicals. No wet floors, no wringing a mop, no messy bucket of dirty mop water, no rinsing, no sticky chemical residue. I love it.
