Aiding a Family

L. i wish i would of gotten this e-mail before tuesday....i just donated 7 bags full of shoes and clothing on tuesday....my little girl is 31/2 and wearing a size 6 now i gave all her clothing away and i have twins boys that are 10 months now i may have a few things of theirs to donate ....my other son is 11 and just gave all his stuff away...i am gonna leave my ### with you maybe we can find some things in my house ...my son is also has some more things like sneakers and some clothing .....please do not give my #### out ###-###-#### it is best to call after 10 am and before 9 pm...i will talk to my friends ....tell your friends to keep faith and we all pray for them....

L. - I have things that family can use. Our daughters are 5 and 7, and we have a son who is 11.

Most of the clothes will be for the little girl, and we have some that the boy can wear as well. I'm afraid we won't have much for the 8 year old since she is wearing bigger sizes than either of our daughters. The items are very nice and very gently worn. The kids live with us 1/2 time so they don't wear their clothes out before they outgrow them.

We are also currently taking care of our relatives that have relocated here from New Orleans and I know how even in the midst of all the social services going around, it won't be enough and sometimes the proper channels are tough to navigate. I am happy to be able to help a family on a more personal level.

My schedule is a little crazy, as I'm getting married in 9 days and the wedding has become all consuming, but I definitely want to be able to get these clothes to you!

Let me know what arrangements we need to make.

Northwest Bible Church has a "store" set up in their gym where they can get things they might need. Some of the stuff is new and most of it is used. There is a HUGE selection, so I am sure that you will be able to find at least a few things that can get your friends by. Just take your friends with you so that our church can love on them and give them a big hug!

Hi, I just wanted to add (and I hope I'm not breaking any rules either) that I work for a property mgmt co. We have a few apartments available that we have set aside to help out with Katrina victims. We are waiving all application fees and security deposits, giving a 20% employee discount, and accepting FEMA vouchers. If you or anybody else knows of a family looking for a place to live, I have 3 properties in the Carrollton area.

Hi! Good for you. The Keller Springs Baptist Church located on Keller Springs at Midway is acting as a bit of a "relief" center. They have tons of clothing, toys, personal care items, etc for those in need to just come and get. Unfortunately, nobody really knows it so not many people have gone, therefore they still have alot!
