I hate to say money is short for rehab but it is. At 600-700 per day it's like only rich people can afford it. Is ther any such think as self help rehab? I mean me and her dad will help. Did you have success at it?

Yes she is begging for help

What can I do next?

It's worth a try, especially if she is begging for help. Change usually starts with the individual.

You need to research withdrawal symptoms from alcohol and tamazepam, depending on how much she has been using.

If there's nowhere else she can go, then try it. But people below are saying she will qualify for free help.

If you have health insurance, she is young enough to be on your plan and this is covered. If she has no health insurance, there ends up being no charge. The kind of rehab one gets while destitute isn't pretty, but it's there. My brother was in and out of rehab for 15 years and didn't have a penny to pay for it. Addiction is considered a disability and under disability, people can get covered by state insurance. Don't let money get in the way. Take her to the ER and let them refer her to the local detox.

I'll add that things may be very different in Texas. I'm in Massachusetts, which is like the alternate universe to Texas but there are destitute addicts everywhere and they manage to get help somewhere. Start with your local ER (maybe just call them first) and see what they say.

She needs professionals to detox her ... Check with your insurance. Some cover it. Then, I suggest AA for her and Al-Anon for you and dad ...

I work at Presbyterian hospital of Dallas, in the ER. We see this often. It looks like you live in Collin county so I don't think she will qualify for northstar however I believe Collin county has something similar. I know that we work very hard to get everyone placement somewhere, even if we cant take them in our unit. You can call the main line and ask for psych intake. They may also be able to help. Most people come through the ER and we help them sort things out.
I am sorry for you and your family. I hope she gets the help she needs.

take her to the hospital right away-if she is begging for help-she'll get it there-if she wants to get clean and sober-they will be able to facilitate it-if you cannot afford to pay-don't worry -there will be help-God bless you-all of you- I will keep praying for her recovery. Go....now.

She can go for free. If she is rich then she'll have to pay for it of course. But if she's destitute she gets a medical card and that will pay for it.

There is a wonderful place in Pleasant Grove called "care ministries" they have helped so many women of all ages I have seen this myself. If you want a total transformation and God to deal with all the issues/hurts in her heart I recommend you give them a call.

Is she employed?
If she has health care, her insurance should pay for rehab.
Otherwise, take her to an ER.
Do you have a mission near you ? They often run drug & alcohol programs and may have an impatient program.
Otherwise--take her to the ER.

ETA: you can DIE from benzodiazepine withdrawal. Not to be messed around with. You can throw a heroic addict in a room for 3 days and she'll FEEL like she's going to die, but she won't. Benzodiazepine are a WHOLE other thing. She needs a medical detox.

Does she want help?
Does she realize she's an addict and sees it as a problem?
If not - don't waste your money - it won't work.

If she's ready and really wants to get clean, maybe social services can point you to some affordable rehab for her.
