Since I have been ill for a about a year, I have forgotten to pick up my kids from school about three times. I am getting concerned about it but for now I need something to help me remember, if any of you know of any talking or alarm devices that can beep loud i would appreciated.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I should say that i do not have a cell phone. I dont want another bill each month. I am looking for a plug- in device that i can program at least once a week.
tHANKS FOR YOUR IDEAS. FOR THOSE WHO TOLD ME TO GET AN ALARM CLOCK, I ALREADY THOUGHT ABOUT IT, BUT IT IS NOT HELPFUL TO ME CAUSE MY KIDS ATTENDS DIFFERENT SCHOOLS AND HAVE DIFFERENT SCHEDULES, AN ALARM CLOCK ONLY HAVE DUAL ALARMS. AND NEED TO BE SET EVERYDAY AND CHANGE SETTINGS FOR THOSE SPECIAL DAYS WHEN THE SCHOOLS HAVE SHORT DAYS.

If I know I could be distracted but have to remember to get out the door, use the timer on my stove.

I use my yahoo calendar and send reminders to my phone. I get reminders to go to work, go pick up kids, go to meetings, take the kids to classes, rehearsals, and more.

I'm almost always on time everywhere I need to go.

Other than a cell phone there's nothing out there that I can think of that would do this.

A loud alarm clock should work.
Is there no bus that could bring your kids home from school?
That would save you needing to pick them up and it would save you on gas for the car.

An alarm clock?
Can your husband or a friend call you to check in when it's time to go pick the kids up?
This is pretty concerning to me, especially since you are pregnant. I hope you are under a good doctor's care and getting all the help you need.

Many inexpensive digital watches have an alarm that you can set for the same time every day. If it's on your wrist, it would be something you could hear all the time. A kitchen timer or a computer works but if you're in another part of the house you might not hear it.

ETA: ok. No cell phone. Get a LOUD wind up alarm clock.
Or an electronic O. with music AND buzzer options. The buzzer will wake you up. Leave it set for every day at that time.

Do you have a cell phone?
You can set the alarm on the iPhone, or have Siri wake you up at a certain time.

-set the timer on the microwave
-put post it notes all over your house where you will see the (the tv, the
microwave, mirror in the bathroom, by your keys, your chair where you
sit the most etc.).
-hv your mom call your home phone
-have a back up plan for pick up in case you do it again.
-if you consistently watch tv, tie in a program you watch that comes on
30 minutes before you have to pick up your kids so you'll know when
that show comes on it's about 30 minutes until you have to leave to pick
up your kids
-if you have a computer, you can set outlook to beep when it's time to leave to pick up your kids but your computer would have to be on

I'd use the calendar on my phone. Put a recurring reminder in for weekdays with a special alarm tone.

Set an alarm on a clock. If you have a smartphone, set that alarm.
