Any Good Nursing Bra That Supports Heavy Boobs???

I am 21 weeks pregnant with my third. I am more in shape now than I was when I was pregnant with my 6 & 7 year olds and while before I carried a lot of the baby weight below my belly, this time I carry a lot of it above my belly. I've gained 20 pounds so far this pregnancy and I'm pretty sure a good half that has been in my boobs. They are BIG and HEAVY! My normal size is 36DD, and now they are noticably (to others too) bigger and (to me) a lot heavier (not comfortable). With my other two, I never found a "good" nursing bra. I'm afraid I have even less hope this time. Anybody know of a good nursing bra that supports heavy boobs??? Some of my regular "minimizing" bras work great still, just using one latch looser I can still fit my boobs in, but I tried on nursing bras today and they are just horrible, same or worse than wearing no bra at all! I again can't find anything REMOTELY decent after this first attempt! I tried Target today. With the other pregnancies, I remember trying Motherhood, Mimi Maternity, etc. and the best I found (which were still terrible but at least my boobs stayed IN them) was mail order "sleep bras" that stetched a lot so I pulled them down from the shoulder and it KINDA worked as a nursing bra- didn't unlatch as a nursing bra so less convenient and still not that much support, but still better than the best nursing bra I found. I'm at a loss. Is there ANY "nursing bra" that works well for big heavy boobs or am I stuck having to half undress each time my baby needs to eat??? TIA!!

What can I do next?

I am not the same size as you but I would consider the Elle Mcpherson brand. I found them to be very good quality. They are not the cheapest or the most expensive, quite middle range price, but had really good luck with them. another benefit is that they also look pretty nice so you don't look like you have two big horns like other cheaper bras. I think you can buy them online also if you don't have the energy to make it out shopping.

I had several nursing bras that I really liked, one was the Bliss by Bravado, another is the Freya Pollyanna. I got both from www.breakoutbras.com. They have lots of options for real nursing bras, you won't have to take your shirt off each time baby needs a meal :)

I am a 36H/I when I am nursing, so I hear what you are saying about needing plenty of support for a large/heavy chest. The site I mentioned above has a whole section of full-figured nursing bras, free shipping and really good customer service.

Good luck and congrats on the pregnancy!

I love Bravado Allure http://www.bravadodesigns.com/shop/the-allure-underwire-n...
I'm a 36E(DD) now and they work so well. They are also pretty and not something that goes up to my neck which I loathe. I can wear a nice lower neck and not show my bra which is really nice.
I'm nursing my third child and this is by far the best nursing bra I have had in the past 11 years since my first was born!
Make sure you get the right measurements to make sure you're getting the right size. That makes a world of difference.

I used Platex nursing bras. I found them at JCPenney.

I've got some big girls too - thankfully they haven't exploded too much during this pregnancy! :) Last time I ended up going to a nice bra shop and they helped me get fitted with some quality nursing bras. They are still packed away at the moment - otherwise I'd look them up - but I highly suggest going in to get fitted by a professional who can size you right and get you the right kind of bra that will support your girls during your pregnancy and also while nursing.

Updated - I didn't realize you were in the suburbs. I went to Tina's Closet in Lisle. They really take great care of your there. :)

I have a couple links for you! When I was nursing my son, I had a lot of trouble finding nursing bras, as I was rather busty to begin with. These are the two places I found bras that would fit, were comfortable and supportive!
The first is Motherwear.
http://www.motherwear.com/
Not only do they have nursing bras but they have a lot of nursing shirts that are in a wide range of sizes!
The second is La Leche Leage.

Not just a great source for breast feeding support, also a good place to support your... well you get the idea. ;)

Try A Pea in a Pod or another maternity boutique. That's where I got mine and they made such a difference!

I got very large (F I think?) with both my pregnancies and the best bra's I found were at Nordstrom's..of all places! They were extremely helpful and lasted me through both pregnancies. Well worth every penny!

I was a 36H when my DD was born and found great bras at Tina's Closet in downtown Lisle. It was SO worth the drive. I kept going back as I lost weight and needed news ones but she's got great ones and fits you personally. I also got sleep nursing bras that were nice from there. She's got a great selection and finds for you what works well.

Congrats with the new baby.

I second Nordstrom. I used to work in the lingerie department there so when I was pregnant, I immediately went there for bras. I lived in my nursing bras for quite sometime, even after I stopped nursing since they fit so well.
