Pick up a copy of Active Moms at Some Burros near the Chandler Mall. It comes out every month and is filled with daily activities (free or cheap) for moms and kids in the East Valley.
I am a stay at home mom with a 10 month old little girl. Does anyone know of free or cheap things in the Chandler area where she can get out and be with kids her age. I would also like some adult conversation in the process. I just found out there is storytime at the library and I am going to try that but any other ideas would be great. Thanks

Depending on where you live, I could tell you which club you belong to. I'm an officer for 1 of 7 in Chandler. We have 10-11 activities every month.
When you go to the library they have a mini magazine called Active Moms. They come out with it every month for free. It's a list of things for the entire month that are free. They also have a website called gocitykids.com - great way to find things in your area. Good luck!
At The Arizona Museum for Youth in Mesa, they have a play section for children 4 and under called Artville. And in that section is a section just for babies to crawl around. It's $5 to get in (until baby is 1 year, then $10) and I've been very impressed with how clean it is. It's fun for a few hours and nice that it's indors now that the heat has hit us. Here's a link. It serves it's purpose on a boring day. http://www.arizonamuseumforyouth.com/artville.aspx
And there's also several water fountains aroudn town that are made for children to walk, crawl and play in. There's one at Tempe Town Lake, one at the zoo, and one somewhere near Old Town Scottsdale. Not sure where excatly though. Anyway, they are fun in the heat. And the Tempe and Scottsdale one are free. A yearly zoo pass is just around $50 for 1 adult and children are free till they turn 2, so it might be worth your money to get a zoo pass. When you get too hot there, go cool off in the splash park. I have an 11 month old boy and if you ever wanted to get the kids together, shoot me an email.
