Hello ladies
My son was referred to a urologist and I was given a referral list. However, you guys are so on top of everything I thought I'd ask mamas first. The following are a few of the names given, and please feel free to recommend anybody in the area...
In Los Gatos: Drs. Kersten Kraft, Robert Panvini, Nuddell, Domenico Manzone. In San Jose: Drs: Robert Dale and Jeffrey Reese. Thank you in advance for all your responses :)

My 21-month old daughter has a kidney reflux condition and we go to Dr. William Kennedy of Lucille Packard Children's Hospital. Although Stanford is their main facility, they do also have a South Bay office near Good Sam where we meet with the dr. We are very happy with Dr. Kennedy, his nursing staff, and the entire office.

If you belong to Kaiser. Dr. Krishnan in Oakland is the very best. He is our sons urologist.

A.,
I can second the recommendation for Dr Kennedy although in reality it was his wonderful Nurse Practitioners we mostly work with. When we did see him personally he was excellent.

We went to the office of Dr. William Kennedy in Palo Alto at the recommendation of my pediatrician. I know it's a far drive, but they were excellent. They are part of the Lucille Packard Stanford Children's Hospital. We generally saw the nurse practioner Susan Pike. It was nice because they could schedule your appointments at the Standford Children's hospital right across the street for ultrasounds or VCUG, then you just walked to your appointment and the results were there. The office and hospital are so kid friendly which is so nice when you have to bring a little one for an unplesant procedure. My son had VU reflux, but it has since resolved itself. I'm not sure what you needed to see the doctor for, but they were so good about explaining everything to me and making sure all my questions were answered.

My son also sees Dr. Kennedy from the Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital (650) 497 - 8423 for appointments (650) 725 - 5530 clinical questions. Ask for the office in San Jose if you don't want to drive up to Stanford.

Dr. Kennedy is the best. It's also great that he has two clinic locations, San Jose and Stanford.

I used the services of Kraft, Panvini, Nuddell when I had kidney issues over the last 5 years, they are a nice clean practice but I never ever saw kids in there,(I also felt like the only woman being treated there too!), everyone else in the waiting area always seemed to be your "typical" older male patient. I'm assuming if you were referred to them they do have someone with pediatric experience however aas I mentioned I never saw kids there and it does not eem like the office is geared at all towards kids (no toy/ magazines/etc) . Have you tried going on the Lucille Packard Childrens Hospital website and getting "true" pediatric urologists contact information from there?... I have always managed to get good specialist referals in this way.
Good luck hope i all works out for your son.
