Its a very nice resort! My 2 year old had a blast in the kiddie pool area in the water park, but other than that, there really wasnt much else for him to do.
We're considering a vacation there this summer. Their website looks great but I'd love to hear from someone who's actually been there.

I have not been, but my good friend who has an 8 yr. old girl and a 5 year old boy, goes about once a year. They really like it. I think it sounds great!

We went there for one night last October, and had a GREAT time. The no-valet service didn't bother us, because we packed light and didn't mind rolling our suitcase in from the parking lot. I can't say anything about the wands, because we weren't there long enough to play the game, but my oldest wanted to do it REALLY BAD. The water park is amazing, with lots to do for pretty much every one 2+, and they let you play all day, before you check in, and then after you've checked out. If your family can share one room together, you can get some pretty decent deals when they run their specials. It is a little pricey, but being able to go to an indoor water park in fall/winter was WAY cool - and the kids LOVED it (they were almost 5 and 2 at the time). If you're only going for a couple of days, it's worth it (especially if you get a coupon/offer code).
My only major complaint, was that while it was pretty crowded, it's really easy to lose sight of your little ones. While they're issuing wristbands at check-in, I wish that they would mark them to match you with your kids, then have staff to check it at the door (kind of like I've seen them do at Chuck-E-Cheese). It would have relieved my paranoia about someone else potentially walking out with my child, and I would have enjoyed my "mini-vacation" a lot more.
I hope you go and have a great time, too!

I have not been there, but have heard GREAT things. Lots of stuff to do for kids of all ages.
We have friends from church who went and there 2 boys loved it. Great family fun
My next door neighbor went with her family for 5 days a few months ago. Said it was amazing, but don't expect to get much rest, especially if you have older kids! Hers are 8,5 &2.
I haven't been there, but I have a friend who went a few months ago when her hubby was home on R&R and they absolutely loved it! They had nothing but good things to say about it, so I'm sure you'd love it =)
I would wait until your child is older. There is a nice toddler area at the water park, but for us there is only so much water park I can take for one day. Which is why the Magic Quest was a nice break and something else to do with the kids. But it is definitely for older kids. Mine are 9 & 7 and they loved it. It's definitely costly, but if you consider a hotel plus tickets to say Sea World, its pretty comparable.
Never mind my previous reply. Enjoy it.
We just went about two weeks ago as a surprise for my childs birthday. Had a blast!!!! Your child is much younger, however there is a kiddie area that is perfect. You and your hubby might enjoy the raftrides. My DH and son spent most of their time in the wave pool floating on tubes relaxing. You might consider bringing some food/meals with you; there is a fridge/microwave in the room. Try to avoid holidays and weekends due to crowds. We went Sun.- Wed. which was perfect. We had the most courteous, friendliest employees assisting us throughout our stay. I never even thought about the chlorine smell until reading others comments. I guess we were lucky because any time wexsaw kids on the Magic Quest they were supervised and fairly well-mannered. All in all, we are considering having a family reunion there next year.
We went to the Great Wolf in Ohio with our 3 kids. We had a blast! My only word of caution is if your child has any breathing problems. My oldest son has asthma and had to take a break from the water area because it was all enclosed. Not a big problem cause he was old enough to go out into the hotel on his own, but be aware that it can trigger asthma.
We went in April and will not be going back. It was entirely too crowded for my taste. We got there around 4 and they had about 50 people in line and only 3 people working the check-in desk. It was tortuous for our 3 year old because the check-in desk looks out to the water park and she just didn't understand why we had to wait in line for an hour before she could go check out the water park. For a little one, there is really only one area of the waterpark that is designed for that age group and frankly there are city splash parks all over the state that are free of charge and just as good. Towards closing time, they turn on the AC and it got rather chilly in the supposed "perfect" climate. Our room was adequete. We stayed in the Wolf Den Suite and our daughter liked the Wolf Den, but her TV didn't work and no one from Maintenance ever came to look at it, despite our request. The MagicQuest thing will cost you an extra $30 or so and you'll have herds of thundering feet running up and down the hall trying to open all the Treasure Chests, etc. One day that we were there, we decided to get lunch at the actual park and again, they were severely under-staffed. There was literally ONE person running the area. Cooking, waiting on folks, serving... it was awful. I see from other folks that some had a pleasant experience, so maybe they went at a time that wasn't so crowded. We went during the middle of the week, so we thought that would be a good time, but no such luck.
We went last May to the one in Grapevine. Our kids were 2 and 4 at the time. We just stayed the weekend, and we had a blast! The kids still ask when they're going back! My kiddos love the water though - they are fish! We spent most of our time in the water area, but they did have an arcade and a nightly story time which was awesome! I'd recommend the rooms with the microwaves and the mini-fridge. We brought some of our meal items and ate in the room (our room had a suite area with a table as well) - this helped save a little as food is expensive (the buffets are good, but 2 year olds don't eat their weight in the price of the buffet)!
We are planning to go back this year! :)
we went to great wolf lodge in the williamsburg VA area. it was the first week that location opened. (may 2005) there were plenty of staff, the indoor water area was open, but the outdoor area was not open till memorial day, so we only saw it. but with a toddler we were fine keeping him inside. (our son turned 2 at the lodge; hubby had just returned from Iraq and we got a SWEET deal - military discount, grand opening discount, room upgrade b/c we booked mid-week) our son loved the water area, wading, catching water in buckets, splashing. i thought the water felt chilly, but the therm in the room said 86degrees. plenty of towels and attendants in the area.
the lodge had a storytime at night, but it was too late for our little guy. we let him stay up and went. it was cute, and our son had a good time. story, song, some kind of dance or something. the kids all come in jammies and the cuckoo clock talked. the whole thing.
food: they had a nice balance of adult and kid foods on the menu, plenty of fresh fruit & veggies available, yogurt. not just nuggets and pizza.
our room was great! i think it was bigger than our apartment at the time! enough kitchen to eat in the room if you didn't feel like going to the dining, or if your little one is up too early or late. had a sink, micro, coffee pot and small fridge.
the fun area (arcade) was nice, candy shop conveniently located at the pool entrance! also, there was a spa (aveda spa) that i went to. had a massage. it was worth it!
so, i guess you can tell we liked it!
hope you have a fun time!

We went there in October for a family reunion. We will not go back.
The building is nice and when we were there it was being added onto. The pool area had a lot of things to do but since it is indoors the chlorine was terrible.
They have the whole wolf theme and I'm not sure how it exactly ties in but they have a treasure hunt that runs through the hotel. So if you are fortunate enough to have rooms in the center by the elevators I'm not sure how that would work with everyone running around from floor to floor trying to activate all these little treasure chests and hidden things in the walls. Plus it's not cheap because you have to purchase the wand and then the program (or something along those lines.) My brother-in-law purchased both and they were about $30.
Plus we found little to NO supervision of kids running around for this game.
The rooms and meeting room were great. But, as I said we won't go back.
The one in Dallas? We just got back last week. We spent 3 days there with my 4 yr old and my 18 month. They both loved the water park. Plenty of lifeguards and life jackets. Everyone was very helpful. Much more than 2 or three days might be too much.
Yes you could smell the clorine.... its indoors with little chance to escape but the whole thing was very well maintained. Personally, I didnt mind the smell after about 5 minutes and you need that much clorine when you have that many people.
I would say eat elsewhere though and there are MANY resturants within 15 min.
We got the wolf den and my oldest thougth it was the coolest thing ever. He also played the magi quest and had a great time. It might be a little old for a 2 yr old but your oldest ( ie husband) might like it too. Mine did.
In reference to the previous responses.... this is a place for kids so you have to understand that their entertainment is priority. There were plenty of carts to move your luggage from the car to your room. The game shuts down at 10:30 pm. NO matter where you go there are RUDE people that do not act as you do. Its vacation....
Overall we had a GREAT TIME.....
