Yes - I had blinding migraines on Yaz, so I stopped taking it. The doctor told me to try waiting three months to see if the side-effects subsided, but the migraines were so bad that I could not imagine three months of them.
I have been taking Yaz for a few months and I have been getting migraines once a month in between the regular pill ending and then starting back up again. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Yes! I had to stop taking it as well.
I have a long history of migraines related to hormones. The ob/gyn suggested taking Yaz continuously for 3 months at a time to avoid the drop in hormonal levels when you get your period. He says, along with research, that it is perfectly safe to go extended periods without having a period. I would try it for three months and see what happens. You may have breakthrough bleeding but it should be minimal. Good luck.
Hi N.!!You are having "estrogen withdrawral"im on yaz and get headaches toward the end of my pack of pills, you should let your doc know and have your blood pressure checked!!You could go on a differant pill but you might get them w/all of them(your doc may put you on a lower dose estrogen pill).Good luck hope you figure it out!!-J.
I never had migraines until I started taking birth control. That was 1992(?). But every month between the hormone pills I would get the worst migraines. I traced it to two causes working in tandem. First, was the hormones from birth control. Second, which I'm still dealing with even though I've been off all BC for 5 years is caffeine. For me, no caffeine equals no headaches.
Good luck
i have regular migraines/ tension headaches anyways, been on yaz 1 1/2 months...they have seemed a bit more frequent and hoping it will go away once my body adjusts
I get those too, at the exact same point. My doctor says it's normal from coming off the extra hormones they provide. I also suffer from PMDD which Yaz is made to help, too, so I thought it was just that. My doctor prescribed Zomig to help with the mirgraines, and it's pretty effective.
No migraines but I had crazy mood swings when I took Yaz. Only lasted 3 months on it before I stopped.
Seriously - get rid of the chemicals - try NFP. It really works, it's safe.
