Anyone Used KeraStraight?

My Daughters are of caucasian and black decent and they have beautiful curls but I am trying to find a product that helps control the frizz (they have serious poof power).

The salon manager at Ulta advised us to try KeraStraight. However, everything I read and see about this product is for straightening hair. I want to keep their curls but just get rid of the friz.

Have any of you tried this product? I would love to get your feedback.

What can I do next?

I have had natural (African American) hair for 10 years now. I've never used or know of anyone who used KeraStraight. I would think that if you wanted to simply control the frizz of their beautiful curls, that KeraStraight wouldn't be the product to use. I use almost all of the John Frieda, Frizz-Ease products to work WITH my curls/hair texture. I use the Smooth start shampoo and conditioner (I only wash my hair a couple of days a week, but I wet and comb through the conditioner everyday). While my hair is damp, I work the Frizz Ease hair serum to control the frizz. Then let my hair air dry. the serum lets the natural curl pattern show, it just keeps it from poofing up. On days I wear my hair straight, I shampoo/condition, but I use the John Frieda 3 Day straight spray, blow dry on cool using a round brush, section and flat iron into my style. I wrap my hair at night with a silk scarf (you could use a silk pillow case too) which keep it smooth over night.
Edit: I get the products at Target, Walmart, Ulta, Walgreens.

Proud Mama try mixed chicks products. Two ladies from California, who both have white/black parents created the product because they couldn't find the right thing for their hair and wanted to keep the curl as well as moisturize the hair. They have a video on line and it tells you all about it. I buy it from my hairdresser in Arlington (She Experience). You can find it at some beauty supply places. Actually I think on their website you can see what salons have it. However, if there is not a place close to you, you can order on line. My daughters are not mixed, however, they have naturally thick, course, curly hair and its also good for them too. I keep the leave in conditioner as a staple. Good luck.

p.s. Sorry I didn't answer your question. I have never tried Kera Straight.

My little girl is mixed too. She has a giant puff of hair! The lady at Sallys beauty SUpply reccomended Ion Keratin Smoothing Treatment Kit

I followed the directions, which included blow drying her hair and using a flat iron to straighten it and keep straightening it for 3 days. On the 4th day we washed it and it was very nice. Curly, and less frizzy, less puffy, less likely to tangle. I am not completely sure it was worth the $$ and effort because it only lasted maybe a month.
I also like the generic version of Mixed Chicks leave in conditioner.
I'd be really interested inhearing any tips or tricks you have or any product reccomendations. It's so difficult dealing with this little girls hair!

I've never tried that. I spray on detangler, part the hair in sections put a little coconut oil on the section and comb through each section with a small or fine toothed comb and that works very well for my 3 girls' hair.
