You mean a job where you can get paid good money to stay at home and watch your kids but pretend to work?

Wouldn't that be nice? =)

hiremymom.com, biztant.com and odesk.com all list work at home jobs. The hours, pay, projects, etc. vary. It's a place to start.

Freelance design work is always great.
I have friends that do a coupon-type mailer book 6x per year and I do the ad design for clients that don't do their own.

O. year I sold lots of my son's clothing on eBay and was able to put $1000 toward our summer beach house rental with relatively little effort, flexible hours and no investment.

You'll be hit with a lot of MLM/direct sales for asking this, as most everyone who asks is recruited somehow.

Before you do anything, (if you choose that route) make sure you research it thoroughly and understand that yes, there is investment, yes there are sales and recruiting involved. Also understand that type of business is profitable when you are actively recruiting which is what is done on here all the time.

Working at home is a JOB and WORK. Even if you are fortunate enough to find the perfect thing for you, you'll need childcare. No business will tolerate noisy children or pets in the background. You'll need a separate offfice somewhere in your home that is private.

I work from home running our company (raw materials) with hubby and it is a never ending job, you can't walk away when you just want to. Working at home takes a lot of self discipline, self motivation and determination.

Think outside the box regarding your experience. Are you artsy enough to make things to sell for the holidays? Many retailers will hire for flexible hours. Can you paint murals on walls, create other artwork people love? Maybe even work in the school system (or preschool).

What are you good at and what do you love and can you market that??

try Craigslist.

I have a friend found a job there. She works for an attorney downtown but she lives in the 'burbs. She does his administrative work and personal business for him. Her only investment is that she had to get a computer camera b/c they Skype for their "meetings". Seems like a cushy job.

You might be able to find something that won't mind you having kids. Her kids are already in school.
