I don't currently have any but am seriously considering getting some. Texas has a cap on how much someone can sue a hospital for and often they go after the nurse too. I just attended a seminar that was given by a RN who also is a legal nurse consultant and she specializes in IV infiltrates/extravasations etc... What she had to say really hit home b/c these nurses were sued, successfully, for hundreds of thousands of dollars b/c they were taking care of a patient whose line infiltrated. It could certainly happen to any of us. They just weren't on top of it. Certainly not an excuse for the horrible burns or nerve damage that resulted. I'm sure this is an extreme case but stil a risk. I see ads in the nursing magazine or you could probably find something on a nursing website. let me know what you find out!
