Yes, we are an outdoorsy family! We love hiking, canoeing, biking, kayaking, downhill and xcountry skiing, camping, you name it. We have a 7 year old and a 21 month old and we take them along and they both love it too.
I was wondering are there any outdoor moms out there? We enjoy, camping, biking, hiking. Yesterday my child and I went for a 11 mile biike ride. He is only 7 yrs I was so proud of him. We totally enjoy the fresh air and just being outside.

I love being out! we are going camping in two weeks....first time for this mama(as the lead adult, i went twice as a kid). My hubby has never camped before so this should be a fun experience....then two weeks after our first go...we go camping again...Hopefully we are good at it!
We bike! seven miles is amazing for a little guy! My oldest can do about two..and he is toast...we live around nothing but hills though...so that is pretty good for him!
My husband and I bike with our 6, 3 and 18 month old. The 3 yr old 2 months ago learned to ride without training wheels. Our travel might be pretty slow, but we love getting out and riding together in the evening. Can't wait to start camping again. With 3 still so young it's more work than relaxation. Hopefully, next year because I know my kids will love it.
me!! Yesterday my 3 year old biked 7 miles! :-) He loved it...and took a VERY long nap afterwards!! :-)
I too would be proud of my 7 year old!!
I like camping and biking...hiking is okay - but my knee is not in the best shape for that...should be when I get it replaced....urgh!!!
ENJOY!!!!
Good for you Mama! That's awesome . . .
Absolutely! Hiking, cycling, beach, going on a Kayaking trip with REI in two weeks and so excited to go to Yosemite with my girl and friends next month.
My doors and windows are open as soon as I wake up, prefer to have few curtains to let as much light in as possible. I'm an outside woman.
My daughter, not so much. But, she has me for a mom and ends up having more fun than she thinks she'll have when we go on these adventures.
Good Job M.! and son! I am not an outdoor type person at all. Never have been but I did enjoy camping a lot when our kids were young. But for the most part I like to stay home, indoors, sewing, reading, and doing other crafty things. I used to love to walk, with a friend, 2 miles in the mall, before they opened the stores, everyday. and I miss that exercise now.(foot problems), So, I want to say, good for you to be out and doing things to promote your kids health and keep up the good work.
