Hi all,
I've been going to T&C for the past year and have been very happy with the care there. My gripe is with their handwritten record keeping. Is there a great doc you go to, perhaps at Children's Mem. or other hospital/center? I'd like to be able to access my son's files when necessary, like for vacations, without having to wait 2 WEEKS for someone to copy them for me. And without getting charged $25. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Northwestern (NMPG) has electronic records. If you're at T&C in Lincoln Park (the new building on Halsted), there is an NMPG peds office on the 5th floor. Peter Lechman is my pediatrician since my oldest (3) was born. Have another boy that's 18mos. We think he's great, and I try as much as possible to schedule all of my appts with him even for sick visits. He's in the Northbrook office on Weds and Fri. Not sure that he's taking new patients, though, but there are plenty of other physicians in that group. Good luck.

Our daughters pediatrician is out of North Shore univeristy Healthsystem We see them in the office in Glenview, and if needed can go to Glenbrook or Evanston hosptials. They have EMR and I really like the North Shore connect system, where you can schaedule appts, message the dr, request refills etc and even have access to some information to print such as meds, immunizations etc...No charge!!! Id be happy to give you the name # if you like or you can search for a pedi on the website. Good Luck!

I agree with Northshore University Health Systems.
Dr. Joseph Terizzi is excellent with children of all ages - from infants to teens. My son has been seeing him since he was 2 and he's 15 now. Really a good at communicating with parents and kids too.

NorthShore University HealthSystem is great! You can go to one of their hospitals which includes Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park or Skokie. They have been electronic for some time now. One pediatrician I can recommend there is Dr. Laurie Hochberg. Hope this helps!
