Hello everyone!
I am having problems finding a affordable banquet hall in Chicago for my daughter baptism.
I am looking for something that holds 30 guest.
Thanks for your help.

Have you thought of asking the Church where you will baptize her if they have a party room some times the have a gym or basement that they will let you have for a small donation...VFW's are also less expensive than Banquet halls..
Good Luck
Try calling resturants. They might be able to accomodate that amount of people.
I agree with 2 responders....White Eagle is very accomodating, Graziano's is one of our family's regular stomping grounds (it is actually Niles bordering Chicago, on Touhy right by Target). I'd see what menus and what prices for your budget they offer. Edison Park area has several lovely restaurants that would be in your area of NW Chicago...
I've eaten at most of them and I haven't had a bad experience yet! Good luck and blessings to the little one!
NW side of the city or NW suburbs?
There is Poretta's (on Central off of Addison), Suparossa Banquets by Biagio (on Central near Montrose or there is Cucina Biagio on Lawrence), Colletti's (on Central near Elston), Nonno Pinos in Edison Park on NW HWY (Nonno Pinos is a restaurant, not a banquet, but they do hold private functions during the day and they let your guests choose from a limited menu during the event instead of having just one option), Vince's on Harlem, Amici's at Harlem/Milwaukee/Howard, Rossini's on Harlem at Dempster. Sorry that they are all Italian, but Italian is all I know. Many of these places have websites with banquet info. Try Googling them for prices.
M., have you tried the White Eagle on Milwaukee Avenue in Niles? It is a famlly style place and each plate is about $12.95 per person. A lot of Polish food but American as well and quite good. I've been there twice including for Mother's Day.
Good luck!
I think there's another place, the Double Tree, which may also be around Milwaukee Avenue, but I don't know how much it costs.

My Aunt and Uncle owns a resturant in Melrose Park and they ahve a seperate room for parties or you can have it on Sundays and have the resturant part. Its called Dannys cafe and deli. Its on 15th and Division. Very good food and very friendly people. There was a nice wirte up about them in the Suntimes a few months by food critic Pat Bruno.

We had ours at Grazianos in niles. It is a restaurant, but they have a separate area to the left they use for private parties.....we have had a baby shower, wedding shower there and always are completly satisfied.
If you go there ask for Paul (one of the owners) tell him C. sent you!
LaVilla on Pulaski & Addison has a nice room that we have used for baptism luncheons. The food & service is very good.
Try your local park district - some parks have very nice facilities - and are FREE.
Check into restaurants with a variety of private rooms. They will often have smaller rooms that are perfect for a group this size. The ones that come to mind are both in old town with vary different menus. Marcello's on North Avenue and Bistrot Margot on Wells.
Good Luck...have fun!
