i had one for a few years, and then it broke. i do miss it... though I like my mom's Bissell carpet steam cleaner with an upholstery attachment too (and it probably costs the same and is easier to clean). just a thought!!!
I have been considering asking for a Bissell Little Green for Mother's Day. I mainly want it to use on our couches because they are so dirty. I looked online at reviews and some people said they loved it but the dirty water tank is hard to clean and after a while it can have a bad odor or it can leak. Do any of you moms have the Bissell Little Green and would you say it is worth the price? Thank you for your help!
Thank you so much for all of your responses! It sounds like most of you either didn't like it, it broke, smelled, or didn't do the job you were hoping. I think I might look around some more. Maybe I will try the Bissell Steam Cleaner with upholstery attachments. Thanks moms!

I bought the little green for my couches and was very disappointed with it. I ended up returning it and calling a company to have my couches cleaned. It's not condusive to cleaning a big area like furniture. I think it's better for spot treatments. I didn't read all your other replies and I'm sure many have liked it, but I personally would not recommend it.
I agree with Jen, just go with the upright carpet cleaner and attachments. It works much better then the Little Green, and is multi-purpose. It's easy to clean and we've had ours for about 4 years with no odor.
I got one as a gift and I don't like it. However, I have not used it on our furniture, just carpet. I guess I just expected more, it doesn't get out touch stains even if I pretreated.
We like ours. One year later there is no smell. Cleaning it has not been too difficult (even DH does a decent job cleaning it out). It has worked well on carpet, drapery, and upholstery stains. I recommend it!
I have had 3 of them and I love them. I haven't had any problems with it smelling at all. If you rinse out the dirty water side after each use it is easy to clean. It was well worth the price. I have several family members that have them too and they love them as much as I do. Hope this helps.
It's great for the little messes, like potty training accidents. I wouldn't use it on a big mess like spilling a huge glass of water only because the big carpet cleaner does a quicker job of that. It also does a great job in small spaces. The only leak issue I had was the first time I emptied the dirty tank and the gasket fell out and I didn't realize it-dirty water poured back out-but as long as that is in it works fine. No smell issues. It didn't get the pink medicine that was thrown up out very well but it has gotten up everything else.
We had one for a few years. It does a good job for cleaning. But we did have an issue with it smelling. I had to empty it of all water and leave it "open" so it could air out. That solved the problem, but it did make storage a bit of a hassle. For our purposes of cleaning couches and cars though, it worked great and I didn't mind the inconvenience so much.
