I am getting so mad i had to take my rings off cause the lil fluid blisters are around my fingers. Any ideas what this could be?

What can I do next?

I'm so sorry, that stinks. I don't have any experience with eczema but the other gals seem to know what they are talking about. I LOVE Neutrogena Hand Repair. The Norwegien Formula is soooooo good and it doesn't have any flowery fragrance. Good luck.

It sounds to me that you have eczema. I have it too. It's always worse in the wintertime. I don't have my wedding rings on myself because of "the little blisters". Don't pop them because the stuff in them will make it spread to your healthy skin.
I had eczema REALLY bad about 10 years ago. I did a lot of research about it. It's a gemetic disorder where your skin doesn't retain water. There are several things you can do...
1) DON'T POP those bubbles
2) Stress affects it, so try not to get too stressed out- come up with a plan to alieviate stress
3) Hydrate from the inside out. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water
4) Use laundry sopa and dryer sheets that are free and clear of any dyes or scents
5) Use bar or body wash that is made for sensative skin. Dove and Oil of Olay make them at a descent price.
6) Moisturize, moisturize moisturize
7) If you eat or touch anything that is high in acid- ie tomatoes and oranges, make sure you wash afterwards REALLY REALLY well.
8) Usse lots of creams and lotions- such as eucerine or aquaphore or Aveno
9) Take oatmeal baths. Aveno makes A TON of products for skin conditions
10) Keep a humidifier running in your house or bedroom. The winter air is very dry and makes it worse.
11) Keep your allergies in check. Often, eczema is related to allergies
Hmmm....what else....I can't think of anything right now.
Hope this helps!

Hi H., Here's a suggestion that I found very effective with a blister-type rash that my daughter had when she was little that no doctor could figure out: tea! Don't drink it, make a nice warm (not hot) big bowl of tea and soak your hands in it. Use regular tea bags...any brand will do. Make a fresh bowl and soak your hands two/three times a day. Pat your hands dry with a soft towel and try not to use any soap or creams on your hands for a while after you soak. You should start to notice a difference after the second day. You could also lay a used tea bag on the worst area's and let it sit for a while as well. There is some kind of acid in tea that dries & draws "weepy" rashes out. This is an old fashioned remedy, my daughter's doctor recommended to us when two meds didn't work on her rash and it just got worse and worse. You also need to be a dective...there is something in your enviorment that your hands are in and reacting to...you need to find it and remove it from your home/office/car....wherever it is. Good luck, I hope this helps you as much as it has helped us!!

H.,

It sounds very painful and annoying. Someone had mentioned Renew and I can definitely tell you it works great. My daughter had an irritating rough red rash on her wrists last winter. Her hands were dry and irritated as well. Then we found Melaleuca. When she started using the liquid hand soap and Renew it went away in 4 days and has not returned. The only time it starts to pop out is when she is at her Mum-Mum's and uses the liquid hand soap they have which is usually Dial and extremely harsh for anyone. I would love to tell you more about it. Please contact me privately at ____@____.com Luck, M.

Hi H.,
I have had that before also, it took months before doctors figured it out. I was allergic to my rings and dish soap. Our bodies and immune systems change all the time. More so when your a female ( another female trait we have to put up with) lol The hard part is finding out what your allergic to. It effects the hands more because we use our hands all the time, and it may just only show up on them. I hope this help and good luck to you!

H., when my son was in his first year, I suddenly started getting extremely dry, cracking, painful skin on my hands. I thought it was dry skin but NOTHING worked--and believe my I tried every moisturizer known to man! Finally I went to my PCP physician whe told me it was definitely eczema. Got a Rx for a steroid cream which did work, but, it's a catch-22 when you have kids because of the FREQUENT hand-washing, bathing etc. Also, you don't want to be touching the kids with the steroid cream.
I did some research on the internet and found that there is a product called Silk Therapy made by Farouk (Find it with the hair products) that REALLY takes the pain & redness out if applied like a lotion. It's kind of an oil-consistency and I can't really imagine using it on my hair--but others with eczema had noticed that when they were using this product, it also just happened to help their eczema so I bought it and tried it and it really provides relief. If your skin on your hands feels hard & scaly, this will help! It's a bit on the pricey side )around $20 for a small bottle) but a bottle will last you forever and it works! Hope this helps.

I had something like this as well. For me it was a type of allergy/immune system thing. If my immune system was stressed (like when we first got our dog and I found out I was allergic to him) my hands got TERRIBLE with the itchy blisters in the palms of my hands. I also found out that gold rings contain nickel and some people are allergic to nickel. QVC makes a jewelry brand called eternagold...it has no nickel and this helps too.

Hi H.
It sounds like eczema to me. I used to get that under my rings and in between my fingers when I waitressed and washed bar glasses. Something in that solution really brought on the cracking, itching, and little blisters. Have the doctors said it is not eczema? I would say change what you wash with and of course as an Arbonne VP I'm going to suggest skin conditioning oil and hand cream and washing your hands only with the intelligence cleansing gel. I'm honestly not trying to "sell" you something but I truly know how amazing it has worked for many people with that on their hands. David Cassidy even has a testimonial written about Arbonne for his bleeding cracked hands and I'd be happy to send it to you via private mail. If you would like more info, please email me. Hi H..
So sorry to hear about your blisters. You know it sounds like something that a family member had. It is amazing how detrimental that the everyday things we use in our homes are to our health. I had been diagnosed with a skin conditon as well and thought there was no hope but i recently started using lotion called Renew and it has almost cleared up my condition totally. It's even safe enough to use on your children. I hope this helps!!

Without seeing it, this sound very much like the 'eczema' that my husband had on and off for years on his hands. It would go away for a little while and then come back stronger in the same area. Each bout lasting longer and becoming more severe. We went to several dermatologist and they all told him it was eczema, and tried to treat it with steroid creams, shots, etc. Until one day we decided, for various reasons to find a better way than simply subduing it. It turns out that my husband is allergic to dairy products including eggs, not lactose intolerant, along with nickel allergies, shellfish allergy, too many to name. Not long after he cut dairy out of his diet, along with processed sugars which is never ate much of to begin with, but we really watch now, his hands cleared up and have been eczema free for two years. For an extra skin(and allover health) boost, we juice vegetables. Cucumbers, celery, carrots, beets for sweetness and ginger. Sometimes we throw in a vegetable called the 'cho cho' which is highly effective in lowering blood pressure. Hypertension runs in his family. With 5 going on 6 kids, we live on a tight budget, but it makes such a difference in our health in out children's health to eat this way.

Hi H.-
I am a mom of soon to be six and run a full time daycare out of my home, so needless to say by the end of the day my hands are beat especially w/ all the disinfectant products. I had the same like symptoms as you early this winter and I started to use the same cream that I use on my daughters eczema. You can get it in almost any pharmacy but I shop at Sallys Beauty Supply and have found it there as well.
There are to brands balater and bees wax balm that is in a
can, they are both very thick and smell pretty bad but if you put a coating on your hands before bed and then gloves(not latex, cloth) you will have a new set of hands in the morning. Hope this is helpful and works for you- T.

Fluid-filled blisters around your fingers could be scabies. If it is and you don't treat, it will spread to others. Scabies is a parasite that lays eggs under the skin which causes the blisters around the fingers, palms, elbows, knees, usually skin with wrinkles.

Treatment is an ointment from the doctor.

Is this something you've always had or just recently? Has anything changed in your diet, detergents, soaps, cosmetics, chemical at work? It sounds like a reaction to me to something. My daughter had to stop using most soaps and switch to a line of non-toxic soaps made from natural ingredients due to the reactions she had from them. Just a thought. Maybe eliminate things a bit at a time until you find the cause.

I also have the same kind of rash and it started when I was pregnant with my daughter. It's on my hands, also. It first started around my ring finger and I just thought it was from water getting under my ring, but since then it has spread to both hands. It has this cycle that it starts to itch and I noticed very small bumps. Then it begins to seep just a little and it then starts to dry and crack and gets all red. After that it almost goes away but it comes back and starts the cycle again. I'm getting very tired of it and now since it's winter my hands are worse cause of the cold. There are days that they hurt so bad I bearly can run them under water. I made an appointment with my doctor,so I'll see if I can get rid of it. I've tried everything from removing soap, cleaners, lotions, and anything else that I thought that would cause it but, nothing seemed to help. If I find out anything more I'll let you know.
