I read that last weekend and so we went down to Ennis and there was nothing to be seen. Like three small patches.
I don't know about Zion though.
OK I asked several weeks ago about where is a good place to take pictures of your kiddos in the bluebonnets. I got several replys about Enis (which this weekend is their Bluebonnet Festival) and then Zion Cemetery near or around Denton. I was wondering if anyone had been there to Zion and knows how the bluebonnets are???

We were in Ennis last night and there were no bluebonnets when normally there are hills and hills of them. I went to Zion cemetery 2 weeks ago and there were a few. Enough to take a few pictures but not the normal hill full of them. I think they just didnt bloom as much this year. :( I think due to lack of rain this winter.
None out there! We took my son to a spot located at George Bush and Shiloh, it looked like a blue sea out there, we got some great pictures!
NEW PS on 4/24....
I went to Zion Cemetary today. The grass is taller than the bluebonnets and they are very sparce. My pics from Bethany & Alma were MUCH better!
There are VERY SMALL patches on the grassy median on Bethany Drive between Alma & Central. If you were to park in one of the neighborhoods across the street from the median and take close up shots, I think it would work. When my daughter was born, bluebonnets were just starting to bloom. We laid her in a very tiny patch and took photos and the pics were gorgeous-- you would never know that there were hardly any bluebonnets to be found! Try Zion Cemetary and/or Ennis another year. I have not been to either this year, but both were nice last year. Last year, we were in bluebonnets up to my knees in Ennis-- they were gorgeous!

PS-- I went to Bethany before church this AM. Patches are tiny, but i got some cute shots. If you want to see them, I can email you a link to them. They are not by any means lush, but, my girls had fun & I am glad I have some pictures from this season.
I drove by last night and still no bluebonnets. At least not like last years. There were a few families there so maybe there are a few patches of flowers. Last year, you could see them from the road and they were gorgeous and you could see all the people taking pictures. I don't know what is going on with this years.
As of Friday, I didn't see any bluebonnets in Zion Cemetery. There were a few along side the road...not really enough for a good picture.
I went looking earlier this week. I don't know how far you would want to travel for them, but we were headed to Cedar Creek Lake (Athens area). We found a few good patches off the highway going down 175. We got some great shots. Nowhere to roam for the kids, but safe enough to get photos and walk a little. Just keep your eyes peeled for them while driving. Good luck!
I am not sure about Zion but do not waste time going to Ennis. My family and I went today and they are really very many bluebonnets at all, for some reason they are very disappointing this year. We were not able to find a single patch that had enough blue bonnets to take pictures. Good luck
