Easy finger foods. I made quesadillas and they were a huge hit! Lots of soda, if you allow it.

~I have thrown one of my boys a 'gaming' party, one thing I learned was to put all the batteries on the chargers early :)

And to bad Twinkies are no more, that was the favorite...that and Crunch N' Munch/ Fiddle Faddle!!!

Depending on how many kids but once for my daughter's birthday I got a bunch of those little frozen personal size pizzas then set out bowls of toppings (olives, mushrooms, chopped onions, chopped up tomatoes, pepperoni, etc.) and let them go crazy. I helped with the cheese because they would have gotten a little too crazy with that. They loved coming up with their own creations. Popped them in the oven a few minutes and voila!!

My daughter thought it was a great party!

Good luck!!

All good food ideas so far, but forget cake. Make a pan (or two) of brownies. Offer ice cream and chocolate sauce to go on top. Many kids don't eat cake anymore. You can even decorate the brownies with "Happy Birthday, ___" using tubes of frosting.

Pinterest. You could make rice crispies, dipped in colored chocolat melts. sheet cake that looks like an x box. lolly pops in those colors, drinks...mountian dew (green) (cola) black and milk with drops of black food coloring(ok that sounds discusting but perhaps you can find something better on pinterset)
