Care.com Vs Sittercity?

We are planning to post for a nanny and I was wondering if anyone could recommend one of these sites over the other? Where did you get better candidates? Or did you use another site or service? They seem pretty similar, but when I did a quick compare in our area, Sittercity seemed to return more young (age under 25 candidates) while Care.com had a wider age range. (We don't care about age so long as the qualifications are there.) Don't know if that's true in general or just happened to be the outcome for my one search. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I am a nanny looking for jobs, and I use both websites. I like the layout of care.com more than sittercity.com, but I found my previous employer through sittercity.com so I have to give that site come credit. Both are good websites. Toss a coin :)

I used sitter city last year and can highly recommend it. We found a great nanny- my son goes to her house every day. We absolutely love her and her family, they have definitely become part of our family. I found the website easy to navigate and a search listed a large number of potential candidates in a wide age range within blocks of my home.

care.com is MUCH easier for us providers to use and look for people on, and we can see YOUR info and respond to it free, sittercity makes it harder for us to do that

I just used care.com and was very pleased with the candidates we received for our nanny search. I got at least a dozen inquiries, did phone interviews with 8 or 9 and in person interviews with 4. And of those 4 it was really hard to decide because all 4 were excellent! So although I haven't used sittercity, I just had a great experience with care.com. (literally as of last week hired) Good luck!

I am a nanny as well and I prefer Care.com. I like that they send me an email of new positions daily. I'm not positive but they may do the same for families looking for a nanny. I do use Sittercity too and I think I found the current family I nanny for through there. Good luck on your search!

I found our nanny 3 yrs ago on care. I was very happy with it and I can't remember why i went with Care of SitterCity. I may have been price. I think many nannies follow both since it is free for them.
good luck.
