Controversial according to whose standards? On my list is Planned Parenthood - they encourage abortion, ABC/Disney and all their affiliates - they encourage promiscuity and non-family values, and America's current presidential administration - you name it.
Chikafila stood up for its beliefs when no other company did or would.
President Obama stood up for gay rights with media backing, high dollar celebrity endorsements and on key fundraising dates. That was not brave. It was pretty chicken of him.
Chikafila got it right, no matter if they asked for all that attention or not. And for the record, the CEO made a statement about Biblical marriage, not against gay rights, yet somehow, once again, the tolerant diversity-flag waving upstanding gay community of our great nation turn it into another Christian bashing. Apparently some people need to look up tolerance in the dictionary.
J. honey, don't quote anything unless you've studied it with a teachable heart, not a malicious one. In this case, your Biblical quote would make more sense than not.
Thank you Jessica Wessica or whatever your call sign is, for the proverbial name calling from the gay rights side that members of your POV seem to excel at. Fyi, I just looked up bigot and here are the definitions I pulled up: "1) a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance 2) intolerant person: somebody with strong opinions, especially on politics, religion, or ethnicity, who refuses to accept different views 3) a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion. " So....I guess that makes you a Christian, right Jessicawhatever?
