Two high school girls to share the job. Affordable. Everyone underestimates high school kids. Don't. Most of them are very responsible
and the extra money comes in handy.
I have a friend who is a single mother of 2 boys, ages 4 and 2, maybe he is 3 now. The problem is she needs childcare. She lives in Carrollton, TX no where near her family and works part time from 4pm to 9pm M-F (In Addison). I would like to share some options for her. She is open to daycare centers (I dont know of any that operate those hours) or a home daycare center or someone that will come to her place. Do you know of any individuals or centers that may be of assistance to her?
Please share any ideas you have that I can share with her because I have exhausted all mine :)

When I lived in Carrollton a few years back, I believe I remember that there was an after hours/drop in child care place that had evening and weekend hours. I think it might have been on Rosemeade in Carrollton. I cannot recall the name but maybe doing a search online for drop in child care might pull it up.
Take a look at care.com. I will cost you $30 for a month's subscription but it gives you the ability to post an ad for a local caregiver. I just used the site for the first time and I have been pleased. In fact, I am interviewing a person today for a part-time babysitting position. Good luck.

Call the Senior Centers in nearby areas; see if they will post for a "Part time Granny". Then call the High Schools and see if they will post for baby sitters. Also Brookhaven Community College...then maybe she should call different Churches in the area...you never know who will know someone who will know someone....
I run a babysitting service in tareant county for the night out and weekend sittings. I have memberships with sittercity and care.com those are great to look at. I'd u choose either of those routes message me I can get you a discount link to save $!
She can go to the local state aid office where a person applies for food stamps and child care assistance. She can get a print out of all the licensed facilities and home settings in one stop. They will have the hours of operation listed on there also.
Since she is a single parent with small children she may qualify for child care assistance. I had a family where both parents worked for well over $10 per hour each and they only paid a few hundred dollars per month for 2 full time children and one schoolager.
It is pretty easy to qualify based on income so I would tell her to at least ask, she may also be able to look online and find everything I told you she could get at the local state office.
This page has links to child care homes and child care centers.

This appears to be a page that covers lots of stuff any single mom would be interested in so I am adding it.
