We are moving to Arlington and I am looking for chidlcare for my 18 month old daughter. I prefer home daycare but will consider highly recommended centers as well. We will need to start on 9/21/09. Does anyone have a home daycare in the area or recommend a nearby center?

My name is D. and I live off Mansfield Webb and Matlock. Not too far from you. My family moved here in June. I stay home with my 3 yr old son. I have two older children as well (14 & 12). I'm not a licensed homecare facility. In fact, the only children I have are my own. I would like to care for one or two more children, but I'm not looking for more than that. I took my son to Ms. Ellen for 3 years. She is amazing! She runs a licensed home daycare near Collins and I20. Is that too far east for you? She used to only keep teachers' children, but I'm pretty sure she is open to keeping anyone's children now. Also, she took a year off last year because they were considering moving, but then decided to stay here, so right now I don't think she is keeping any children, but she wants to. She really is wonderful, so loving, but consistent with discipline. My son learned a lot while he was under her care as well.
