My soon to be 7 yr old daughter is becoming increasingly interested in helping out in the kitchen. She is currently using a butter knife to cut soft foods such as bananas, cucumbers, avocado, strawberries, etc. I would like to introduce her to a safety knife soon. I noticed that Pampered Chef has a Safety Knife on their website that I'm considering purchasing. But I thought I'd ask here first to see if anyone has any recommendations on a safety knife or has any experience with the Pampered Chef Safety Knife?
Thanks! :)

I agree that Curious Chef knives are great for kids. I know, the butter knife can be so frustrating. So glad you have a little helper.:)
My six year old daughter LOVES to cook and chop things. I bought her this set of knives when she was five and she still loves to use them: http://www.amazon.com/Curious-Chef-3-Piece-Nylon-Knife/dp...
Why not teach her how to use a real knife and just start her out with easy things?
My kids are 6, 8, and 10 and they all use real knives...we just have them watch us, monitor them, and voila! Never a cut.
