I have a jar of chili sauce, if anyone knows what it is.
Does anyone have any recipes to use that with besides meat balls and burgers?
Would it work with beef stew meat ????

What can I do next?

hello!!

I have used chili sauce in meat loaf, hot dogs (mac and cheese) and shrimp.

I've never used it in a stew - that might be interesting. Wonder if it has the consistency to hold up to it.

The meat loaf - mix it in with fritos (instead of oatmeal or stuffing) add onions and bell peppers (green and red) and bake - make sure you put some on the top too!!! YUM!!!

I like to use chili sauce when I do mac n cheese and hot dogs - I add some (not the whole jar) just enough to give it some "zest".

I also LOVE to dip my shrimp in it sometimes - nice change up from cocktail sauce!

ENJOY!!

My husband likes it on his hot dogs. I guess you could use it in Sloppy Joes.

Add some horseradish and you have really good cocktail sauce for dipping shrimp into.

I have an awesome recipe for slow cooker sloppy joes.

1.5 lbs of gnd beef
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 bottle (12 oz) chili sauce
2 T brown sugar
2 T sweet pickle relish
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
8 hamburger buns

Cook beef, celery, and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Transfer to 3 qt. slow cooker. Stir in next 6 ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until flavors are combined. Spoon 1/2 cup of mixture onto each bun.

Yes. I would cook the meat first, making it nice and tender. Chicken broth would give it a nice flavor. Cook the meat at a slow simmer. Then when the meat is almost done, add the chili sauce.

I have a recipe for Fiesta Meatloaf. Half the jar goes in the meatloaf, along with sauteed green pepper and onion, and the other common ingredients (egg, bread crumbs, etc) Half is put on at the table. It's yummy!!!!!
