I am planning a Christmas event for children in foster care. Does anyone know of any inexpensive rental places or anyone who would donate their space. We are looking to accomodate about 100 people since we will have volunteers also. Also if you know any companies that would be willing to donate their services. It is an event that will allow for the children to play games, then eat lunch, and receive gifts from sponsors. It is a little more in depth but I don't want to take up tons of space. Also e-mail me if you are interested in maybe volunteering or sponsoring children. The event will be in December 2009. Thank you all in advance. This site, in my opinion, is to have purposeful positive insight and as parents, mothers, women we put enough stress and worry on ourselves we don't need in from strangers too.

How many children? how many adults?
who are the sponsors?
How will you arrange to clean thecenter after you are done.
How much is your budget for accomodations? I have a childcare learning center but there are some legal and insurance issues.

I don't know if you live in Harris County or the Tomball area but some county and city parks have pavilions and meeting rooms. Some have full kitchens. I have used them several times for class reunions, showers.... Find the location you want to use, they are listed on the internet. Call the county or city to schedule the date. They will hold your check usually for $125 until the event is over. If everything is left in good conditon they return your original check to you making the rental FREE. Most allow you to schedule a date up to a year before the event.
