I am having a Christmas/House Warming party tomorrow and I still don't know what we are having to eat. I want something that is easy but good. Any suggestions?

So What Happened?

We ended up making Chili, Penne a la Vodka and meatballs. We also made apple spice to drink. Everyone loved it. Thanks everyone

Hi J.!
Ok, so how many guests are you having ? Is it real casual, like say w/family and real close friends? Or maybe some colleagues and other friends?
Generally speaking, Italian is real easy and most people enjoy it. You can do lasagna, green salad, bread a variety of hors d'eouvres(sp?).Costco is a great resource. You can buy some cheese platters, sandwich platters, desserts, you name it.
Good luck and I hope you have a great time.

There are little quiches you can get in the freezer section of the grocery store - they're by a brand called Nancy's. They look fancy yet all you do is heat them up in the oven.

Check out the Oprah site below. She has Rachel Ray on with great one pot dishes to serve at holiday parties. I tried the 5 min fudge and it was good. I also like the martini recepie.

Costco has these great Filet bites wrapped in bacon- SO good! It takes about 6 minutes to cook them.
They also have great meats and cheeses right now if you wanted to make a platter. Fruit and veggies are also a big hit (especially apples with caramel and asparagus, snap peas and cucumber with dill dip).

I second Costco if you don't want to do a lot of cooking. They have great platters.

Depending on my guests, I like to make lasagne, home made marinara, pasta, chicken parmesan, etc. I like to cook Italian.
