Double check that the seats where you would use car seats are bolted to the frame--most are NOT in RV's. Very unsafe. Just a head's up.
My husband would like to get a Class B RV instead of upgrading our travel trailor. We are a family of 4 with 2 young boys - by the time we are ready to trade ours in they will be 5yr & 2yr. Does anyone have any recommendations for a Class B? Storage is a big thing for us and of course seatbelts for the boys. And hubby would like one with a bed over the cab area for our oldest to sleep in (we currently have bunkbeds in the camper). We will definitely be looking around first, just wanted to see if anyone recommends a certain kind. Thanks!
EDITED: Maybe I do mean Class C. He keeps saying Class B, I really don't know the difference - my husbands been the one talking about them & checking some out online.

Are you sure you mean Class B? What you're talking about sounds more like a Class C. Class Bs are usually vans and wouldn't have a bed over the cab area. Class Cs have beds over the cab area. We have a Class C, an Itasca Spirit that's about 10 years old, and love it. There is a ton of storage, and the dining table benches have seatbelts. There's no place for carseats, though - so if you want that, I don't know that a Class C would work. (or a Class A, for that matter). Also, you'd need to create some sort of netting or fence for the bunk over the drivers seat because it's a long drop for a five year old who might roll around at night. We've never let our kids sleep up there due to the lack of way to keep them in the bed. It's worked best for us to have our girls sleep in the two twin beds in the back bedroom. My husband sleeps on the couch (it pulls out) and I sleep on the bunk over the drivers seat. Since our kids go to sleep before us, we like this because the kids can be in the bedroom with the door closed and we have the rest of the RV (and the door to the outside) for the late evening.
Anyway - to answer your question, I like the Itasca line by Winnebago. They're well made but not too high end.
Hi S., I dont have one but I'm an insurance agent. Make sure you get a quote to see how much the insurance will be so there are no surprises. Sounds like so much fun! Good luck!
They make a class B which is like a van but they also make a class B+ which is smaller than the class C. I don't own any yet but I have been looking into a travel trailers. I would like to be able to use my SUV and leave the trailer. You should see if there is an RV show near you. I went to one in Volusia County a few months back and learned a lot.
