I love Clarks, they are a little pricey, but they are super comfy and they hold very well, I have a par that is 6 year old and it still amazing.
Hi Mommas!! I work in education and will be going back to work in a couple weeks. I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant with my second child and am in need of some comfortable, wide width dress shoes. I will be on and off my feet, probably standing hopefully no more than 4 hrs a day (not all at once). I haven't had any luck so far finding nice shoes that fit and are comfortable and I'm hesitant to buy shoes online without being able to try them on. Any suggestions? Brands, stores, etc? TIA.

The company FitFlops makes more than just flip flops- they have sueded clogs, low booties, and high booties. I have the black sueded clogs and wear them under slacks for work. They are super comfy and help alleviate back tension. I know you're hesitant to buy online but I bought mine from www.blissworld.com (like the famous Bliss spa) but maybe you could find them online through zappos or piperlime, both have great return policies. They're pricey but worth the cost when it comes to your feet, back, and overall health. Good luck.
Have you looked at http://www.drschollsshoes.com/ they have some great shoes that can be worn.....and you might look to see what stores carry them in your area...
Take care and congrats.
hello
Danska makes some comfy shoes.. if you cant get to the store, order via zappos.. they have a great return policy in which you can return items UNUSED for 365 days a year
Anything from Clarks. They sell them at Nordstrom and Macy's in Il so maybe check department stores. I even have a pair of tall wedge sandals that are more comfortable than my sneakers!!!!
You might want to try landsend - some of their clothes are available at sears stores - not sure about the shoes though. I have a pair of their sandals that I love but I also have a pair of their all-terrain shoes that rub the back of my heel. I am also on the lookout for comfy work shoes. I hate to shop for (and spend money on) shoes - would prefer to be barefoot (and on a beach) ALL the time, LOL! I'd also lean towards spending more money on one pair of good comfy quality shoes instead of having several pairs but that's just me. I'd probably look for a low to mid-heel and thicker sole. Congrats on baby #2 and good luck on your shoe search!
Though I've never purchased anything from Zappos, I know many, many people who will order several pairs at once and then return (free) the ones they don't want.
Clark's are my favorite right now. They're expensive. Through both of my pregnancies, I had to wear professional attire. I found that my old dress shoes (that had already stretched to my foot) accommodated my feet better. I just sacrificed old shoes.
With flats (ballet-slipper like shoes) being so popular currently, I'd see if you can find some through Target.com, DSW, etc. that are cute and comfortable. I also noticed that Crocs is now carrying some dressier-type shoes when we were in the store the other day.
