it's funny, becuz i was told that i couldn't have any kids... but then a year later my son was born... even though i've never had a normal period or any period at all, i always counted the 28 days... y, i have no i dea. but when i wanted to try for a baby, i went by when i ovulated which was about 14 days after my period was supposed to come, and it worked somehow. now 3 years later, i'm pregnant with my second, and of course, still no period and there was talk of putting me on hormones becuz i never got a period after my son was born, but i still counted the days, i was still on birth control, and i decided to go off of it, becuz i hated the way it made me feel and they wanted to try more meds. well keeping track, the month after i still counted the days, and on the 14th day which happened to be mothers day :) i conceived again... it's very weird to me how it happened both times, and every woman is different, it made me mad that the docs told me i couldn't have kids or i'd have trouble having them, but i've been lucky so far and they've both been healthy pregnancy's... try counting 14 days from the day you get your period, thats when most women ovulate. sometimes women have trouble concieving after they have one already, and some get pregnant just by their men looking at them :) it all depends on the person.... see when your doc says, either way, it's fun trying right :) good luck :)
