Consignment vs Ebay

I do both. It depends on the brand of the items and condition. Some things sell great on ebay, while others would be better sold to places like "Once upon a Child". For ebay, list items in groups, start at 0.99, always have gallery picture, and list for 3 days. Do some research on ebay in completed listings for similiar items that have sold and for how much. I haven't been to a consignment store in a while, but I worked at one a few years ago, and the way it worked was that you bring in your things and whatever they use of yours will go into an account for you. When something of yours is bought, a credit will go into your account. Most of the sellers would come into the store each week or month and pick up a check for the things that had sold. I'm pretty sure that's how most of them work, but the store determines how much the item will sell for. Hope that helps and good luck!

Well you could probably make more selling it on ebay, but I have found it to be easier to go to a consignment store. Its great because they pay you for what they take and then I usually spend it all on more clothes while I'm there. Hope this helped.:)

There are these great sales called Just Between Friends sales all over the area. You can make 70% of the sale price as opposed to 50% at a consignment shop. I participated in Arlington last Spring and was very happy with the money I made. You set the price. The Fall sales are scheduled for September. You can visit their website at www.jbfsale.com.
