Ok so my last period was September 30. About a week ago my breasts started feeling very sore....and they still are. This is abnormal for me as I usually start to feel sore a week or so prior to my next period. My next period isn't due for another 2 weeks or so. Also I am very tired, more so than usual as well......BUT that might have something to do with recent events.. My house was broken into recently, and even though I'm not feeling as scared as I expected to feel I have been having some issues getting to sleep. But once asleep I am down for the count! Oh and also I have been cramping some. What do you think, and when do you think I can finally take a HPT??

What can I do next?

good luck! You definitely could be. I took the HPT(ept) about 4 days before my missed pd and it showed up. sometimes it doesn't show till a few days later though. those are the signs i had for prenancy though. sore boobs, tired and little cramping and also started to pee more.

The same thing happened to me with my son. Just as you describe- my breasts hurt right after and then I was really tired. So the night of conception was 2/25/06 then I took the early pregnancy test on March 3rd. At first it didn't show up, but then I looked at it again later and it was positive. I thought that was weird so I waited 5 days and took another and it was positive! I couldn't believe it would show up so soon, so I think you could definitely try one by now. Good luck!

im sorry but my guess is no. if you last period STARTED on sept 30, then you would ovulate on oct 12, only 5 days ago and you said your symptoms were before that, and breast soreness wouldnt happen the minute you got pregnant, kwim. based on a 28 day cycle. now if your cycle is longer than 28, you would be ovulating now.

the way to always remember is, you ovulate 14 days before your period arrives, not 14 days after your last period(although thats how it works out on a 28 day cycle). so take the day you expect your period and go back 14 days, thats the day you ovulate.

now if you meant your period ended on the 30, well thats a whole different story:)

did you get the ovulation strips from http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/ they are super easy and SOOOOO much cheaper than the store ones. dont waste another minute, they will make it so much easier, and also if there is a problem, you would get help right away. the first thing your gyn will ask you when you say your trying to get pregnant is if you were using these. this way is there is a problem, you already have that addressed so you will get to the bottom of it sooner.

good luck

I didn't get a positive result until over a week after my period was due. So annoying! All of your symptoms could mean pregnancy, but they could also mean stress, early period, etc. There's nothing to do, except wait until your period is supposed to come and then test. I'm sorry! :(

While you're waiting, take extra special care of yourself. Healthy, yummy foods. Prenatal vitamins. Lots of walking and stretching. Massages from your husband. Get in the habit of taking care of yourself now, so it's the norm later!

Good luck!

Hello-- I was the same way. I was cramping way before I was supposed to have my period and was tired a lot. The tell-tale sign for me was for a couple of nights, at 2am on the dot, I woke up sweating and sick and I would have what I called "white outs" where everything went white and I felt like I was going to pass out, which after an hour or so, it went away. I knew I had to wait to take the test, so I waited about a week and a half before my expected period. (Read the directions..) I did not thoroughly read them and I had a stong minus sign with a faint perpendicular line through it. I assumed b/c it was not a strong line, I was not pregnant, or I just took the test too soon. The symptoms continued and I tried again. Same result. So I waited. I just happened to pick up the directions one day and really read them. It says no matter how faint the second line is, as long as it appears, it is a positive test. But, I took another one anyway... and I am now the mommy of a very sweet 4-month-old boy. Good luck & God bless!

It sounds like to me that you may be preggers, especially if any of the symptoms are adnormal. I NEVER get sore breasts when I get my period and when I did I knew something was up. I concieved on December 2nd, and took a pregnancy test on Dec 20th and got a positive result. My last period was in mid november...in the teens, was not sure of the exact date. I think you should take an early response test and see what happens. I was shocked to dicover that I got a positive response so fast after concieving. GOOD LUCK! and let us know the outcome.

As someone who's been trying to get pregnant for over 2 years i've done a lot of research on pregnancy tests and taken my share, usually way earlier than i should have in my cycles lol... basically you CAN get a positive as soon as 10 days after you ovulate - ovulation day is different for every woman, but its often about 14-17 days after your period starts...
BUT it could very easily be a false negative! so if you do take one and its negative, don't necessarily believe it! i've known a few women who didn't even get a positive pregnancy test until well after their period was due! blood tests at the doctor are much more accurate (and can be positive sometimes 10 or 11 days after your ovulation) but they usually make you wait until your missed period before they draw for that too!

you can get tons of information on timing and the sensetivity of different brands at: http://www.peeonastick.com/ - i know, silly name, but it has great information!

hope that helped a bit... and GOOD LUCK :) the signs sound promising!!

they have the early detection ones, you may still be a bit too early but you take them BEFORE your missed period.

To my knowledge, the earliest home pregnancy test you can take is First response, which tells you UP TO 5 days before your missed period, but 5 days before your period your hormone levels might still not be high enough to be detected by the test. So you might have to test again closer to your period.

So, unfortunately you'll have to wait it out at least another agonizing week or so. I wish you luck though!!
