Check out hiptosave.com It is an awesome blog for newbie couponers.
I follow Savings Addiction and Krazy Coupon Lady. They update on FB too. They will tell you when and where to use coupons for the best deals. They show store specific deals as well. Keep on mind you can use one store coupon with one manufacturer coupon to up your savings. Yesterday I used $36 in coupons at Target!
Check out some local blogs. Here are a couple directories of deal blogs:

My favorite deal blog is out of New York: www.couponsdealsandmore.com
There is a 'beginners guide' and over 1000 printable coupons and hundreds of rebates listed. The blogger, Ann, has been couponing and rebating for over 25 years and is always willing to share her knowledge with others.
Welcome to couponing!
I second Mamaof3 M--hip2save.com is awesome! As well as totally target. Will provide all the links & deals you might need/use on a regular basis. If couponing is for you then I would suggest investing in a laser printer. It will save on ink & is well worth the investment. We got a cheapie Brother Laser printer on sale at Staples & don't regret it. Never an issue with barcodes scanning in stores.
www.coupons.com, www.smartsource.com, www.redplum.com, also my SIL swears by www.ebates.com, you can buy virtually everything you want thru this website. you just log on and type in what you are looking for. it brings up a list of websites (like amazon, ebay) and the prices. if you purchase thru ebates, then you get a lower priced item plus they give you rebates like cashback. then they send you a check every few months.
When I lived in the States, I subscribed to Procter and Gamble and my local grocery stores. Also, consider surveys. Smith's used to call once every couple of months and in return, I received $50-100 off coupons. Everything I did was totally free!
Every Sunday I go to coupons.com and target.com. They both put up new coupons almost every week. Also, I signed up for a Target debit card. The money comes straight out of your checking account but you save 5% every time you shop. I generally save $5 - $10 just by using that. Have fun!
Sign up ore "friend" Frugal girls on FaceBook. They always post freebies and other coupon discounts daily. You can even see where to go to sign-up for birthday freebies.
