My daughter is going to be 3 next month, and my husband and I want to put her into dance. A lot of the places I've called don't except children her age and/or are REALLY expensive. Does anyone have any recommendations? We live in Gilbert near Ray and Greenfield.

What can I do next?

We went to Dance Element on Ray/Val Vista. They were really nice and had small class sizes for the young ones. 45/month 1 day a week

Gilbert Parks & Rec has the best prices by far! It was about $45 for 10 classes. My daughter just turned 3 this summer and I wanted her to try a dance class out, but didn't want anything to "official". Most dance studios had a monthly payment on top of registration fee, then recital fees and costume fees. I wanted her to be exposed to it, but with our budget and her age I thought this was the best choice. Good luck!

My daughter is also 3 and has been attending dance class at the YMCA in Power Ranch. She absolutely loves going to class. I believe if you are not a member the class would be $40. If you are members of the YMCA the cost is less. The class also does tumbling and cheer (I think.)

We had our daughter enrolled at Club Dance on Pecos in Queen Creek. It was $45.00 per month for a 1 hour class every week. She went on Saturday mornings but they let up to 13 kids in the class which is a little counter-productive for actual learning so we pulled her. She would get frustrated with the time spent disciplining kids that did not want to be there. The weekday classes, I hear, are less crowded and better but unfortunately with my husband and I working full time it does not work with our schedule. Good luck!

Try the Parks and Recreation - they are great and have classes for little ones. The website is www.gilbertrecreation.com. One facility is located near Elliot and McQueen and the other is at Freestone park at Elliot and Lindsay. You have to call and get a family pin number so you can register for classes. It's easy. My daughter has taken dance classes there since she was 3 and now she is 6!

Heatwave, Heatwave, Heatwave! Trust me. Best dance place for your child! Alma school and germann. Less than $45 a month. I have a 13 year old and a 15 month old and my 13 year old loves it and I can't wait to enroll my 15 month old.

We have visited Herberger College classes in ASU (tempe campus.)Their program starts from 4 years old, but I called and asked and they allowed us to enroll, when my son just turned 3. Price was ~$60 for few weeks. They also study shapes, colors etc.
