You might try Dallas Dancewear at Grapevine Mills Mall. You can call first and see if they have what you need before you make the trip. The ladies in there are always very nice to work with.
Hello, everyone. My daughter who turned 3 in May will be starting her first dance class in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know of any places where I can get reasonably priced Ballet and Tap Shoes? I know they carry Ballet shoes at Payless, Target, etc., but the required class attire list provided by the studio lists pink split sole ballet shoes and specifically states "no Wal-Mart or Payless shoes". We live in Keller, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any reasonably priced dancewear stores, etc. nearby?
Thanks to everyone for their advice. We actually found some tap shoes and a skirt at Kid2Kid, and we got ballet shows at Dallas Dancewear in Grapevine Mills Mall.

I've actually seen a lot of these at Kid to kid and Once upon a child. Worth a try
KimLee in Bedford off Harwood and Hurstview...
If it were me, I would buy them from Payless or Wal-Mart anyway. Unless they are going to provide them for you, I think you're free to buy from wherever you see fit. They were probably talking about the ballet-like house shoes that Wal-Mart carries. Anyway, Wal-Mart does carry Danskin Tap shoes that are perfect for young tappers. For Ballet, try Dallas Dancewear in Grapevine mills. They will also give you a discount depending on which studio you're at.
