My 7 month old is already a very early bird. Any suggestions on the best way to handle daylight savings?

Dear K.:

The human body wakes up by enough sleep and light in the room. Be sure the room is so dark you cannot see the child sleeping.

This almost never fails.

Also if there is a clock in her room either remove it or do not change the time for 6 weeks.

Try to keep his schedule pretty much the same in spite of the change. Make 15 minute adjustments each day til he's on track!

Wake them 10 minutes earlier every day, put them to bed 10 minutes earlier every day to get them used to the change.

We have put thick, white "presentation boards' from the office supply store in our son's window. You can cut 2-3 of them to fit, and they do a decent job of keeping the extra light out. You can hardly tell from the outside that they are not curtains.
They also don't interfere with the decor of the room. If it won't ruin your room, get light blocking curtains from JC Penney. They are reasonably priced and do what they claim to do.

SSHHHHHH.....don't tell him! He will eventually get into the swing of things...really should only be a few days or so with you making the changes you normally would do.
