Disney on Ice Question

This is a stupid question, but I guess I just don't know the answer :)

I am taking my granddaughter to Elsa/Frozen on Ice tomorrow. Is it cold? Like keep your jackets and hats on cold or wear boots cold? We have front row seats (I purchased them months ago for her birthday) so I don't know if that makes it colder?

Anything else I should know/be aware of? I've not done one of these before - we couldn't afford anything like this years ago when our kids were little so I am excited I can share this experience with my grandbaby!

Thanks!

What can I do next?

I haven't been to one of those shows in a long while, but I've been to hockey games in sports stadiums that also are where those kinds of shows are held. We take our winter coats off while we're there or unzip. People wear their jerseys for etc. of their teams. I just keep my winter boots on from outside.

Sounds like a lot of fun! I loved them as a kid :)

Oh how exciting for your and your granddaughter!!!

It has been a while since we did Disney on Ice. We have done a lot of hockey games and I always err on he safe side by having a jacket because I was always cold in those ice rinks.

For me, just a jacket was fine.. I didn't do extra gloves, boots, etc. Layer up so you can get comfortable.

Most importantly... ENJOY!!!

Season ticket holder for our new NHL team. I'm always cold in the arena, so I dress in layers, which include at least a turtleneck and a heavy team jersey. I also always wear boots. If I still get cold, I'll throw on my scarf or put on my jacket. You might want to consider putting tights on under her pants to add an extra layer on the bottom. Layer tops and take off if she ends up too warm. It would be a shame for her to spend the time at the show being miserable because she's cold. Have fun!

Keep the jackets and wear layers so you can get comfortable. It can be cold, and since heat rises, it might be cooler on the lower level. Boots are good since you'll be stepping on kids' spilled popcorn and soda too!

Be aware that souvenirs (the official program to light sticks to food to every Elsa item you can imagine) are very over-priced, so set a budget with her ahead of time. She can get stuff at intermission or on the way out after she sees all that they have to offer. Some kids like to wave the light sticks during the show, but everything else can be picked up later.

It depends on you, we all have different body temperatures. I personally get hot easily, and am hot almost 90% of the time, which isn't difficult in South Florida anyway, but I can be in short sleeves in the 60s and be fine, while others are wearing puffer jackets and scarves. I have been ice skating in short sleeves and have been fine, but others on the rink had leather jackets or long sleeved pullovers. I went to one of these Disney shows maybe 6 or 7 years ago and recall bringing a cardigan for my kid. I would perhaps bring a light jacket, like a hoodie for you both, just in case. A coat would be way too much, I know I'd be sweating in a coat, unless the temperature is in the 20s or below. Have fun!
