Agree with others who said get there early and take a break in the afternoon. It is busiest from about 12:00 - 4:00, so that's when you'll have the longest waits. Early morning you'll get on rides quickly and fantasyland (where all the little kids rides are) starts getting empty again in the later afternoon. Maybe ride all morning, have lunch in the park, and then take a break for a couple of hours. OR, head over to CA Adventure for the afternoon, where lines are always much shorter.

Your two year old is definitely not too young to have a good time. Several friends and I had season passes all last year when our kids were two and they loved it!

In Fantasyland, the longest lines are typically at Peter Pan, Dumbo, and Alice in Wonderland. Ride this early to avoid waits. Rides like Pinocchio and Winnie the Pooh never have long lines. Autopia gets busier by mid-morning and the submarines (aka Nemo) is almost always crowded. Lines are usually fairly short at Small World. Your two year old might be too short for Autopia but can ride everything else I just mentioned. Some of the other great rides for little kids not in Fantasyland are Haunted Mansion & Pirates of the Caribbean (which may both scare the two year old), and the Jungle Cruise.

The Toy Story ride at CA Adventure is REALLY fun and always ridiculously crowded. If you want to do it, be there when the gates open and make a dash to that ride first thing.

Good thing in June in So Cal is that it often is NOT, as we tend to have a lot of overcast days.

Oh, and there is a small petting zoo behind Big Thunder Mountain if the kids are into that. : )

You are going to have a blast! Are you going to stay on property? If not, stay at a hotel across the street that says you can still walk to the parks. Unlike Disney World, Disneyland is pedestriation friendly.

With the ages of your children, I would get use the early morning hours and take a nap in the afternoon and then do it again until they crash. I would probably start out in Fantasyland. It has all the tradional rides when you think of Disney. The Tea Cups, It's a Small World, Casey Jr., etc... It gets really busy by mid morning so hit that as soon as possible.

The California Park is getting several new attractions that were not open when we went there six months ago but should be open by the time you get there. There are several rides in that park that your children will enjoy too.

Because your two year old will be too short to ride some of the attractions, take advantage of the parent switch pass. If you go up to a cast member working the ride you want to go on, they will allow you and your husband to switch off so both of you get to go and you don't have to wait in that long line again.

Use fast passes to your advantage. These allow you to come back at a certain time and not have to wait in a super long line just a line. Certain rides have this feature and you just have to keep your eyes open for them.

Call Disney 180 days out from your trip and make reservations for your meals. We always get early seatings at five because there is nothing worse than a cranking, hot child tired from all this fun. By making the reservations, you greatly reduce your waiting time and you can choose meals that might make your trip more fun like a character meal. The cast member when you call the disney dining number can help you with the choices they have.

I just moved out here from LA and we have annual passes for Disneyland. Are you staying at one of the Disney hotels? That puts you near all the action and you don't have to worry about parking at $15 a day. Go during the middle of the week is your best bet. Certain times of the year can be pretty crowded and can make everyone cranky real fast, especially since the lines for rides can run 2-3 hours. Take advantage of the fast pass, you can find kiosks at most of the rides, it gives you a time to come back so you don't have to stay in line. The Finding Nemo ride is the most notorious for long lines, so try to do that one early.
Take a stroller if you can and pack your own snacks since the food at Disney is overpriced and not always that good. Goofy's Kitchen is a good restaurant where you get to interact with the characters and the kids love it!
There is lots to see and lots to do, you can get passes for more than one day so you don't have to cram everything all in one day.
Also there is California Adventure, another resort across from Disneyland. there is where you will find the characters from movies like Toy Story, Cars and A Bug's Life. There are kiddy rides and also some that are more grown-up like the roller coaster. The water-light show is brand-new and really beautiful! Get there early for good seats and the same goes for the fireworks every night at Disneyland.
Most of all have fun and make memories your kids will remember forever!!

We're also planning a trip to Disneyland in June. Funny timing, but there were parents at a birthday party yesterday talking about going there so I was eavesdropping. One mentioned about staying at the Portofino Inn and the other said, "of course," which caught my interest. No wonder. Went home and looked it up and they offer rooms with kid suites (kids in a separate room with bunk beds, a small kids table and TV ... looked awesome). I was "wowed" and plan on booking there.

I have also heard from friends about the Bippity Boppity Salon, where girls can have princess makeovers. If you have a girl, you may want to look into it. The prices were surprisingly not bad when I checked online -- around $40.

I've gone to Disney World. I would look into a resort. We stayed at one of the moderate ones. ( meaning not that $$) it included our room, tickets including park hopper. and once we got to the resort we didnt have to drive anywhere. there was buses, boats, monarail. etc. So when it came time for leaving, we didnt have to wait or drive!!!
also most can included you meals etc. also our room key was also our tickets and credit card. it was an all in one. so we only had to take it and our ID. Have fun ( WE DID)

June can be a very, very hot month to stand in line for hours on end. Fall and Spring are much better seasons to visit the Magic Kingdom.
Pirates of the Carribean is my favorite. There are many rides the entire family can ride on, but some that will be limited by height restrictions.
The two yr old is really too young, but if you have plenty of people to keep the little one occupied you'll be fine.
